  1. Once you hear Willie Brown had been separated from his wife for 10 years when they dated, it seems pretty desperate to try to pretend you're offended by that. Not to mention your photo suggests they parted on good terms, which is an indication they are mature, reasonable adults. Quite the gotcha you have there.

  2. Ha hardly! Saying Trump was great for the working class isn’t just untrue, it’s more opposite-of-reality delusion like saying Hitler was great for Jews. Trump has waged a war on the working class that is straight from the Republican textbook: Billions in Tax cuts for the rich and corporations wasn’t great for the working class Cancelling net neutrality so internet providers can control how you use your internet connection wasn’t great for the working class Allowing more brain-damaging chemicals in the drinking water wasn’t great for the working class (more brain damage will help grow the Republican base though) Blocking a law that prevented financial advisors from misleading their customers and mismanaging their retirement savings wasn’t great for the working class. Rolling back over 100 restrictions on corporations poisoning people’s air, water and food wasn’t great for the working class Attacks on Obamacare that have resulted in millions of Americans losing their health insurance and higher costs for everyone else wasn’t great for the working class Cancelling overtime pay for 8 million workers wasn’t great for the working class. Relaxing safety rules for coal mines wasn’t great for the working class. Especially since another Republican troll, Don Blankenship, falsified his mine’s safety records, which ultimately killed 29 miners in one of America’s deadliest mine blasts and got away with it. Issuing dozens of policies that made it easier to award federal contracts to corporations that are repeat violators of wage laws, sexual harassment laws, racial discrimination laws, or laws protecting workers’ right to unionize wasn’t great for the working class Canceling and reducing requirements for employers to report or make public workplace injuries wasn’t great for the working class Rolling back rules that prevent payday lenders from preying on desperate borrowers wasn’t great for the working class Presiding over the longest period without a minimum wage increase wasn’t great for the working class Appointing judges and justices who nearly always side with corporate bosses over workers wasn’t great for the working class Cutting billions from Social Security Disability Insurance in the middle of a pandemic wasn’t great for the working class This is only a partial list

  4. Not buying the F-35 was a Liberal campaign tactic so anything that made it look more expensive was good. The frigate aquisition is a Liberal project so the opposite is true.

  5. The EU has actually increased trade with China, overtaking the U.S. as the EU's # 1 trading partner early this year. Anti-China sentiments in Canada are based on a political narrative over economic reality (e.g. "Two Michaels"). Other nations are not going to come to Canada's rescue as a trading bloc against China and their own interests. This may play well for domestic Canadian politics, but will not translate into structural change and counters for Chinese globalism, something it learned from the west...and learned very well.

  6. 1) Yes but they are going it alone. It would be a big leap because you're asking the US, basically, to organize and lead a trade war. Canada has been owned by foreign companies in the past - it's nothing new to us. 2) If the US wants to, I suppose. It's really up to them. 3) "Steering" is "controlling". 4) No - it was economic orthodoxy as adopted by the west as a bloc. "Can be built" means to be built by business. You are going to be disrupting the world economy upon which these same businesses are currently thriving to tell them to go built somewhere else. As I said, I'm supportive of the idea but I need more than a moral stance to convince me that we could do something effective - sorry.

  7. He didn't handle the pandemic. He ignored it and treated it as a PR issue until cities were closing down. Then his government belatedly started ordering PPE gear while saying no one should wear masks and that closing the border would be 'racist'. His government was against testing at the airports and never supervised or policed the quarantine for those coming in. That caused us to be flooded with the variants which are killing people and shutting down cities now. What you mean is he gave you money.

  8. It's always good to hear a typically reasonable counter-point from the Trump set ? Please keep on, keepin' on... and don't ever vote again. THANKS !

  10. But, we CAN change things. That is the very nature of human nature. We can implement rules and enforcement of same that gives a predictable result. First, though, we have to learn what it is we are trying to control - and THAT is the other naure of the beast - collective ignorance.

  11. Complete nonsense. His policies were great for the working class. Democrats are the party of the rich and the globalists. A donation issue doesn’t change the destructive middle class policies of libtards.

  15. Hmm, a lot of emotional vitriol in that last one. The hallmark of progressives. We conservatives do not react right away to unsubstantiated claims. That's not to say it's unbelievable, but in today's climate it's sensible to wait and allow a little old thing called due process.
