  1. I think China's Wuhan virology lab is still the most likely source of Covid-19, despite what the WHO is being fed by Chinese officials. I hope that the WHO investigation is published soon.

  2. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/joe-morrissey-receptionist/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Morrissey Hackers I tell you! Russian hackers, who like to interfere in US elections lol. He was born in 1957, she was born in about 1996. Right now he's 64 and she's 25. What's that whole thing about the power imbalance between an employee (who's still a minor) and her boss? I had to use google to find out how much of a scumbag this guy was. Turns out that being contumacious isn't that big of a deal, the word's probably still useful in the bedroom or a rap song though. Definitely a Dem. I think that last bolded part was actually his campaign slogan.

  3. 1. Not all progressive issues are supported by the liberals, lets just take a few examples: the collection of laws and regulations that govern how Canadians live their lives, and what sorts of individual rights the government is willing to protect and defend. here the liberals are willing to change or modify existing laws and rights in order to control the population. those very rights and laws are a progressive issue. Next take a look at our climate change policies, another progressive issue which todays liberals are doing very little, or like they do push it down the road for someone else to look after. Hey I get it the cons are not any better but climate change is a huge progressive issue and we have done very little in fact it was in the media our country ranks near the bottom of the list for action taken. My point is the liberals are not always proactive, in some cases not active at all. All political parties are guilty 2. Some of your examples are reaching waaaayyyy back in history, but like any nation we have grown and all parties are now behind these socially excepted issues. and I'm sure we could bring up liberal whinny about other issues, back during the second world war our nation refused entry of a ship full of Jews fleeing the conflict and we refused not because we did not have the room , or money, it was because they were Jews and back then Canadians were racist as f****, all Canadians, including liberals Cons, NDP , and today we are still evolving on this issue, but there has been progress. Lets not forget the what is being called a genocide of Native Americans by sending them off to school, don't point any fingers but this idea was never abolished under Liberal reign , in fact it had is largest growth under the liberals, once again all parties have their hands in the pie, and yet today we are just coming around to the idea of making peace for our past sins. Maintaining status que seems to be a Canadians trait, if we look into our past, we can't point one finger at one party, when it was "Canadians" that wanted those policies at the time... which covers all parties involved . Trust me I'd love to pin all of our problems on the liberals more specific Justin , but even that guy is not responsible for everything wrong with our country.

  4. John Robson has an all-encompassing denunciation of this 'smug, incompetent' government worth reading. I particularly liked his point that it's going to take us twice as long to build new warships as the first and second world wars combined lasted. And this after a decade of planning. You may think we have a vaccination crisis in this country. And if you’re not a paid or volunteer Liberal flak you may think it’s about health not PR. But it’s really a crisis of government competence. The reason they can’t vaccinate is they can’t do much of anything. For instance buy sidearms or ships for the armed forces. Get guns away from criminals or tell criminals from law-abiding citizens. Decide when to lock us down or explain why. Deliver a budget or explain why they haven’t. Balance the books. Fix health wait lists. Maintain infrastructure. Be transparent. As someone observed on Twitter, it isn’t surprising that a government that takes 15 years not to purchase a military sidearm struggles to vaccinate. I can’t quote it because of the now quasi-obligatory vulgarity in our overlapping crisis of manners. But consider two headlines from last Wednesday’s Post: “Made-in-Canada vaccines won’t be ready until end of the year” and “More delays expected for navy’s new fleet”. Six pages and apparently worlds apart. But connected by a combination of ineptitude and smugness. https://nationalpost.com/opinion/john-robson-smug-liberal-government-is-too-incompetent-to-get-vaccination-right

  5. I love being condemned, for being reasonable. What to do about China? Divide ourselves, and conquer. Let me repeat that - and conquer.

  8. They said that didn't happen. Your own source says there is no information to discredit their denial in the first parapgraph. So who is the one making up things?

  9. It wasn't AN article. There have been half a dozen this week. That's a campaign. And they're all one-sided, with no attempt to explain why there would be pay discrepancies other than discrimination. What benefit of a doubt should I give the Globe? That they think they're doing their job to make the world a better place? That they think they're fighting against discrimination? That they think they're good and noble? I'm sure they do. That's not in question. The question is whether this persistent agenda to convince me that discrimination is there, that systemic racism is there, etc. etc., is 'news' or propaganda. And also whether it's a fair coverage of the issues, or one-sided activism. Given these stories never have but one side, with no attempt at discerning any causes of an identified issue other than discrimination, I think I'm safe. Yes, well, I'm arrogant. Publishers make that decision. But they rarely interfere with the day to day editorial slant of the stories being covered.

  10. Oh... we're publishing rumours eh ? Cool... here's one better... a 13-year old filed a lawsuit against Trump saying he and Epstein raped her. You likely don't have a lawsuit for your rumour, though... (Yes this was withdrawn, nobody knows why or how much she was paid) https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/donald-trump-rape-accusation-underage-girl-claim-what-happened-sexual-assault-allegation-a7354111.html

  12. This morning on a walk around neighborhood nature area, an epitome of Canada's Covid-19 response: an individual, alone, in the center of a frozen pond, taking some morning sun while wearing a mask. Combine with: mandatory in the change room but not during the exercise; and, mandatory in the washroom (5-10 min) but not for two hours in the restaurant. Add don't forget now world-infamous "travel from Wuhan is great for our system!". Who was supposed to be impressed by these gems of bureaucratic creativity (in place of real effective solutions in curbing the spread, including technology-based one)? I think it was a subtle message to the virus. Like, look how smart we're here and run, run! Scared by Sweden? Covid mortality per capita in Sweden virtually same as in Quebec. Restaurants never closed and masks weren't mandatory though recommended vs two lockdowns and plethora of near-daily changing policies, orders and counting. This is oh so new and can only do so much. A little better than the worst and that's already looking pretty good. Rest my case.
