This needs to be said: Are you on F****ing mushrooms, or something way stronger , maybe off your other meds, has your tin foil hat fallen off, have you been talking to aliens again.... How in the blue blazes have you not been banned with the rest of the wingnuts that used to be here on this forum ( charles ? ) The number of the beast, are you kidding me... Look it's easy, wear it when it is mandated, or keep your twisted ass inside and order everything on line, it is the Law in most places, you know what the law is right.... obey it, or face the law....it's not the number of the beast or Armageddon, and no the sky is not falling, what is going on is your losing your mind, and your having a mental episode and now it is time to say goodbye to all the nice people phone 911 and tell them you need a social worker.. They'll make the bad men go away...2 points

We're being played, conditioned, dumb'd down . . . . . sad thing is that we've lost our critical thought process. Turn on the radio/TV/etc. and you're told what to do . . . . and you do it. Perfect atmosphere for the Turd-o types to bankrupt the country, impose unworkable policies, and keep you in fear. Yes, we are sheep.1 point

Same here, mask wearing is only an annoyance for me. But I am against the outright shutting down of businesses by some misguided health edict. These people are not even professionals. Real doctors are aghast at what they're doing and some are trying to fight what is happening, by writing letters to the ministry. They won't get action, the ministry is too stupid to know what to do. But some people, who are even dumber, would follow government blindly even over a cliff. Shutting down is also death for many thousands, but shifted convenient out of sight of the coddled and ignorant masses, a stochastic effect that cannot be directly pointed at. At least not by the simple-minded reactives who can only see what is obvious, and for themselves alone. There HAS to be a way to continue, even if it means things take longer, we go slower, and things are less convenient. Shutting down is not an acceptable option.1 point

People have died of the flu for centuries, for the exact same reasons. It's part of life. I can go along with the covidiots on the mask thing, because it's not that much of an inconvenience for me personally, but I won't be taking a sketchy vaccine that was concocted by a bunch of known liars just to prevent a cough and a sore throat.1 point

I don't like wearing masks (the new tinfoil hats) at all, luckily for me I'm only inconvenienced by them when I go into stores briefly. I feel horrible for the people who work in places where they have to wear them for 8 hrs a day or more, just to prevent them from getting the sniffles.1 point

I don't doubt that he sees himself becoming the Secretary General of the UN one day (which would basically be a one-world government at that point), by the nearly-unanimous consent of the entire fawning planet. His delusions are boundless. If he had to throw all of Canada under the bus to get there he'd do it in the blink of an eye, and he'd never spend a moment worrying his precious head about it. I wouldn't even be surprised if the CBC managed to convince half of this country that our own demise was the best thing that ever happened to us.1 point

So much for not politicizing the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccines in Canada. OMG...the (gulp) "Americans" may get vaccine before Canadians !1 point

Perhaps the way to overcome anti-vaxers is to tell them they can't have it.1 point

Regardless of why, the fact that we will have a chance to evaluate it with 100 million test subjects will mean when we do get it, we will have a better idea of it's safety and efficacy. (spelling is not my strong point this time of morning.) In the mean time, we need to assume we already carry the virus and so does everyone we come in contact with and keep 2-3 metres distance. It is ironic that many of the people whining the loudest are the idiots who are scared of needles and are refusniks. Maybe the Tories shouldn't have sold off Conaught. Patience.1 point

Your whole world is crumbling around you. The imaginary web of conspirators you’ve created for yourself gets bigger and bigger by the minute in order to explain the reality that’s crashing down on you and your failed loser of a false god. It’s so sweet. ?????1 point

I'd be happy to talk about some of the other things. For example give me the science behind shutting down schools - if you want to go there? Or you could address the concerns of the guy below on lock downs in general. Or do you just mean common sense stuff like wash you hands? Because nobody's critiquing that. It isn't ant-masking that's the line many don't want to cross. If you want to wear a bacteria catcher that should be up to you. What might be opposed would be "mask mandates." Are you saying opposing "mask mandates" is stupid? I won't say supporting the questionable effectiveness of masks with mask mandates is stupid. It's very clever if what you want to do is show evidence of your ability to exercise excessive authority and from there push lock downs and from there, who knows.1 point

As has been mentioned before, masks are not the only thing you should do, it's only an assist. This anti-mask campaign is stupid. You may as well tell people to not bother washing their hands, because even people who wash their hands get sick; same with social distancing. As a matter of fact, nothing is 100% foolproof, so why bother trying to reduce the spread at all? The lack of ability of anti-maskers to figure out that mitigation of risk is a valid objective, and is not the same as eliminating risk, is astounding.1 point

Anti-maskers would lose in a landslide; only the moronic minority think masks are some kind of plot. Most people understand that masks help reduce the spread of Covid, that they aren't a cure or foolproof, and that its a small inconvenience to help protect "the vulnerable".1 point

Yes, we could always do better - that's part of being human. I work with 7 people on my team; we range in age from early 30s to early 60s. Of those 8 people, two are cancer survivors and are imunnocompromised, one is diabetic and smokes, and one has asthma. How do you suggest those 4 be "protected" while the others continue as normal? (And don't assume that it's the older ones who are most compromised, cause you'd be wrong.) In addition, one of the non-vulnerable people has parents who are extremely vulnerable - how would you protect her parents while still allowing her contact as she goes about her "normal life"? How would you manage just these 8 people to "protect the vulnerable" while "saving the economy"?1 point

If you want to know what happens when minimal effort is made to control the virus, look at the States. Why would you wait till there's an actual crisis before doing something to mitigate it? Freedom doesn't actually mean we all get to do what we want, regardless of the effect it has on the rest of the society. That would be called "chaos", and would be unsustainable.1 point

Who is going to staff these compounds? There's been a chronic shortage of health professionals even before Covid, but you think we've got enough to staff special covid hospitals? And why would you put the elderly with "the sick"? Are you trying to kill them off? "You isolate the people who are vulnerable" You don't even know who is vulnerable - more than you assume. Currently younger people are getting sick, younger people are ending up in hospital and, ultimately, some die - because they thought they were safer than "old people", thought they could carry on as "normal." Your "plan" would see billions spent to build "compounds", understaff them, add to understaffing in all health facilities, let the virus spread among younger people and overwhelm the hospitals with younger patients. That's a "dunderheaded" plan if there ever was one. And you know, we're not even "shut down" - asking people to stay home as much as possible and take precautions, and shutting down a few high risk businesses - that isn't "shutting down the whole country."1 point

Surprise! We agree on this. Trying their best to kick the mask out of the equation when simple common sense dictates it helps prevent the spread - I don't know what the phobia is on masks! It's not like as if when you wear a mask you won't do any other precautionary measures. I simply can't understand that reaction. Think of unwanted pregnancy! Lol. Sure we're on the pill - but if you insist on the penis mask (condom) - all the better! Imagine donning masks in public, along with frequent hand-washing, and if you can do it, social-distancing! It's a win-win situation!1 point

Mysteriously, medical professionals have used masks for hours at a time and suffered no ill effects. This has been going on for decades. Your film is is a lie.1 point
