Really Argus? So what specific thing that the GOP did or what changes has Trump made, what things has Trump done that irk you so much? There's a laundry-list of things wrong with the Demonrats. They call for the harassment of government officials, they support BLM and Antifa, they support violent rioting/arson/looting and attacks on police, they support every voter-fraud-friendly reform known to man, they let Russians run rampant in Europe and did nothing, they blame terrorist attacks with vans on guns, they let Islamic State grow to the size of a large country and then pretended that they couldn't stop them for 5 years, they blame terrorist attacks with AK-47s on gun laws and AK-47s have always been illegal, they support blatant anti-Semitism and then when there's an attack on Jews they blame Trump, their nominee got caught cheating twice in the 2016 election and they act like Trump was the cheater, they are the biggest misogynist/hypocrites on the planet "all bitches want it from Bill Clinton", they lie about global warming, they lie about covid, they lied about Kavanaugh, they lied about russian collusion..... You want to talk about a bunch of sewer rats with absolutely no redeeming qualities it's the Dems. You've been drinking stupidity straight from CBC's firehose Argus.2 points

Imagine a world where judges looked at things objectively and didn't bring their own ideological BS to work with them.2 points

It was a resounding victory...one of the biggest upsets in U.S. political history. It still drives Democrats and like minded sycophants in Canada nuts, because their little echo chambers said it could/would never happen.1 point

In every crisis there's a handful of people that just can't be counted on, that cross their arms and refuse to be inconvenienced. "I don't want to and you can't make me!" Like the jerks who get caught building campfires during fire ban season they either deny the need or think it doesn't apply to people as smart as they are. Like the buffoon in the White House they consider everyone who chips in and does their part to be losers and suckers. Anyone who refuses to take part in the safety measures should be handcuffed for a few hours to the bedside of someone dying badly with a tube snaked down their windpipe and a machine pumping air into them.1 point

How do you know it isn't true? Lol - a US billionaire just came waltzing in without being quarantined! Maybe she was going to do some mega-shopping! These days, i don't put too much into anything politicians say. Everybody's saying "we got your back." Hello? We're back to an even worse line-up for testing! Heck, it wasn't too long ago when I heard, "we put our kids' safety first and foremost!" Lol. look at 'em now - they're being marched to the front line!1 point

That'll be okay, too! I'm assuming he'll carry on! I want someone with the same mindset as Trump!1 point

That is what motivates the media to speak out. Anything to feed your self-admitted TDS, eh?1 point

There is still research coming out about this drug, hydroxychloroquinine. The drug that unfortunately was mentioned by Donald Trump, making it open to the focus of political manipulation. First, the Lancet article that poo-poo'd this drug in May, has been retracted: https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)31180-6/fulltext Quietly retracted, might add. While we all heard about it when it came out, there was almost a fanfare and some people on here wrote gleefully, with the intent to point out "Trump was wrong!!!" - As if Donald Trump looked up some random drug name and pulled this out if his ass, is if it is his fault. This is why the drug is politicized. Yet nothing said when it was retracted. Not mentioned by the media. Why is that? Where are the posters here, those who crowed gleefully about it being ineffective, to come forward and announce it? You can't. Because, Trump. Information from new studies, vetted peer reviewed, respectable organizations. https://www.henryford.com/news/2020/07/hydro-treatment-study Different study: https://thinkpol.ca/2020/07/03/ny-study-finds-hydroxychloroquine-may-have-saved-covid-19-patients-lives/ Because Trump.1 point

Lack of legal restrictions is not the same as access to medical services. Quebec still sends women to the United States for late term abortions because many doctors refuse to perform them. ...another reason to hate America and Americans....better access to abortions than in Canada:1 point

Share where in our immigration system, there is any favour towards people who are applying from Muslim countries. I work in the immigration and you are spreading misinformation again.1 point

That isn't the point....they may as well be because of such limited access in several provinces and territories. Quebec still sends late terms abortion patients to the evil USA, because doctors won't/wouldn't perform them there. Not only is abortion not banned in the U.S., a women can actually get one.1 point

Btw, to the dunce of the forum. The electoral college isn’t a law, it’s part of the constitution. The constitution would need to be ratified by two thirds of the states in order to amend it. As usual you don’t know what the hell youre talking about, hence why I ignore you. Also, Democrats first denied a Supreme Court appointment by a Republican president close to an election in the late 80s and then flipped on that precedent for Obama in 2016. But I guess that hypocrisy doesn’t matter. Stop lying.1 point

I'm sure there will be no debates. The covid-situation is a perfect excuse to avoid debates which would be Biden's Achilles heel. The fewer people see that Biden is a demented goofy the better his chances of winning the election.1 point

Leviticus 20:13 says “If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.” So how is it right kill in this case but abortion is wrong?1 point

Abortion has been commonly practiced throughout history, even if it wasn't commented on by the 'male' writers of various holy books. The women certainly knew about it, where to go and how to do it. Infanticide has also been practiced throughout history, perhaps because the baby was sick or perhaps because the rest of the community was already starving and there was no way the baby could be provided for. Both men and women kill their offspring, before and after birth and at various ages. It's frowned upon, very strongly, but it's surprisingly common. So "against their instinct" doesn't seem to be entirely accurate.1 point

There's nothing in the Bible specific to abortion. Which is odd, considering how specific it can be about so many other things. Christians use several verses to support their stance, most of which have nothing to do with the fetus per se, but with God's knowledge of the fetus. Exodus 21:22-25, most often used to support anti-abortion rights, levies only a fine for a miscarriage and death if the woman dies. Clearly, the loss of a fetus was not a big deal in God's eyes. Also, God cheerfully murdered all firstborn children in Exodus; in Numbers, Moses instructs his victorious soldiers to kill males, even babies, but to keep young, virgin girls for themselves. And in Psalms 137:8 we find "O daughter of Babylon, you devastator! Happy shall he be who takes your little ones and dashes them against the rock!" God's concern for the lives of babies and fetuses was minimal. Even if God disaproves of abortion, it would clearly only apply to his people - if anything, Christians today need not have abortions, but should probably celebrate when non-Christians do.1 point

For someone to commit any crime against morality in the name of their ‘invisible friend’ can be considered nothing more than a simple tactic from an adolescent mind to try and remove an obstacle from their life in a manner convenient to their primitive instincts. Religious genocide is when they are able to convince others to do that on their behalf.1 point

Thank you for furthering this conversation with both of those videos French Patriot, I have watched both of them with an open mind and in consideration my response follows: The first video seems to describe the purpose of religion as one that is meant to take our minds away from materialistic distractions and false worship and refocus our attention towards religious faith (a rhythmic recruitment video). As someone who is a believer "Jeff" is mistaking 'over-dependence' for 'worship' making such claims as (and I'm paraphrasing): Girls worshiping their boyfriends and 'cosmo' being their bible. Organized sports in stadiums. Addiction to alcohol (inebriation) in bars. Masturbation and pornography. The clear way to counter his point is to state that moderation is key to a balanced life and if an individual becomes over-dependent on a particular act then this imbalance will have consequences in their private life. This does not mean you need to find god, perhaps a therapist or professional help to readdress the imbalance that has crept into an individuals' life-cycle. The second video then seems to describe the struggle between a religious organization and one of their pastors: an atheist who preaches to a congregation seemingly in an attempt to blur the lines between religion and atheism in potentially catering to those people who are winding-down from a religious belief-system and looking for a way to transition into a more spiritual perspective on life (an emotional safety blanket of sorts) which is a perfectly acceptable method for those in the congregation who feel the need for group therapy with added anonymity. Both of these videos touch on the subject of 'lack of religion/faith' in exploring alternative definitions with modified acceptance as their end goal: Acceptance to the first video would mean that you would then change your ways because you come to a realization that you were worshiping all along - it was just the wrong thing. Acceptance to the second video would mean that religion is an ambiguous construct that is capable of manifesting in many shapes and one may fit you if you chose to accept it. To me atheism is neither one or the other, I worship nothing due to the fact that nothing is worth blind obedience and I have faith in nothing that is not based on fundamental facts and evidence. To the commentary you personally provided: "Your ideology/belief system, tell you that black is not a color yet it is in most color charts. If you allow yourself that, then you would also have to eliminate white as it is made up of all colors, including black." It is not a belief system that tells me black is not a color, just because something occurs on a color chart doesn't mean my analogy is invalid as I stated in my original post: "Now this is just an analogy and those who would criticize me may try to poke holes in it but in the end I am not trying to make you believe anything, I am just trying to help you understand." Thank you so much for tackling this with me and I appreciate the time and effort you have placed in this discussion, I look forward to furthering and expanding on anything I have presented so far.1 point

If Trump loses it doesn't mean that people would support BLM or antifa. Quite on the contrary, he would lose because he hasn't done more to stop the mayhem. Which kind of brings me to my other point that I guess that even many Americans don't know exactly how their political system works. The worst riots have happened in Democrat-controlled states and the the threshold for any federal intervention is very high.0 points
