  1. I believe that it is safe to now call Teflon Don Trudeau and his liberal lying ilk the Liberanos who are nothing more than a bunch of corrupt swampsters. They have done nothing for we the people of Canada. All we have ever got from them is corruption and lies and scandals and the leftist liberal bought off Canadian corrupt media is there to protect this mobster. We the people are treated with disgust and contempt by this Liberano. He is constantly trying to come up with more laws to stifle free speech. I will take Trump any day over this prime mistake of Canada. This PM is a lawbreaker. Trump is not. PS: Just the other day on The Rebel said that the liberals gave MasterCard 50 million of our tax dollars. MasterCard makes billions every year on interests and charges and yet they get tax dollars from Trudeau and his liberal ilk. And they always keep trying to tell us that Trump is a thief and a crook. These people really do need to try and get their chit together.

  3. Very good to dig into the weeds on this, as it’s very complex. The GSN amount per student doesn’t change much year to year. The EPO’s come and go and some of them eventually become part of the GSN. I liken it to foundation versus finish. If you look at the line items under each of the two types of funds, you get a sense of how hard it can be to make cuts, especially when there’s a big push from voters for certain strategies. These days it’s Math, wellness, diversity, experiential learning... I do think we always run a risk of getting too far outside core priorities such as literacy and numeracy when we start trying to solve every aspect of the person, yet if we don’t look at the whole person other problems can arise.

  4. Cite proof. I have a hard time believing that.

  5. Exactly. If Trump had done what Trudeau was found guilty of, it would have led the articles of impeachment. But ironically, the same people insisting Trump should be impeached, defend and make excuses for Trudeau. They're as two-faced as it gets.

  6. Though i was amused by the projection employed in your adhomenim, as adhomenims are widely regarded as the most "intellectually lazy" form of argument, and by your contention that an objective analysis of the law is somehow a leftist ideological bias, but honestly I expected no less. Now to the crux of the argument I will forgo any comment on the author's opinion as they themself concede that "these are issues of discussion that have not yet be resolved", and focus on the facts. You contended that the constitution of 1982 stripped parliament of their supremacy, yet the link you gave me references the 1867 constitution and states " the judicial branch can and must restrict the authority of parliament" seems they've always been able to check parliament. Also in the link you gave me there was a specific reference to a court case Canada vs Bedford where it is clearly stated " parliament maintains the ability to respond at the legislative level to an unfavorable judicial interpretation, again in direct contradiction to your claim. Obviously anyone with even a passing understanding of the law, will freely admit that ratifying the charter into the constitution, did alter the mechanisms employed by each branch of government but did not alter the roles of said branches, but more relevant to the discussion is the section of the aforementioned charter which is the Notwithstanding clause, who's entire point is to protect parliamentary supremacy. See that is how an intelligent, reasoned person makes an argument, i didn't need to attack you personally or revert to partisan assumptions, still curious as to how anything ive said has "expressed disdain for conservative views", do you view everything through the prism of right or left? Do you see how that can just confirm conformation bias and lead to faulty conclusions? I hope to receive a thoughtful, measured, fact based response, but fear you will just return with another rant laced with fallacies and partisanship.

  7. Well do not blame me. I had matches and a can of gasoline, tar, feathers, rope, but there was a line up with other Canadians to see who would get toJustin first and being Canadian we were so damn polite we could not agree so we all went and watched a curling match to discuss it further and drank some double doubles from Timmy's and forgot. Curling has that effect. It is an amazing sport. People can be fat and smoke right in the middle of the match. Shuffleboard on ice man. Who the hell needs men with tight pants sticking their hand up each other's butt and screaming "hutt hutt hutt" (this guy Hutt seemed to have made a lasing impression) and "huddling" and tapping each other's butts like you Yanks. You Yanks are very girly. Its no wonder you elected Trump.* *all comments were cleared with the Canadian Film Board and passed the KD Lang test of sarcasm

  9. Canada has broadened the concept of "ally" from a narrow context to include all manner of competitive weakness and vulnerabilities. Failing to invest in better worker productivity, defence, pipelines, competitiveness, diversification, etc. does not mean that the United States will just roll over for Canada. Canada has been in bed with dictators as well, so nothing special about that. As for Trump, he was impeached per constitution, which is far more than can be said about Trudeau and the corrupt SNC-Lavalin affair (no investigation permitted by the Liberal majority).

  10. Trump probably didn't write this, but he delivered it well at the end of the SOTU address:

  11. No, no... Banning child bearing is much easier than a small tax.

  12. Or you could implement a tax on carbon dioxide emissions, which is simple and the most economically efficient way to reduce emissions...

  13. There never was any worry of being forced to use the Euro or join Schengen. That's the thing about the supremacy of Parliament, it gives ultimate sovereignty to the UK government. On a personal level, Brexit will mean that I can no longer drive my food truck to an EU country and trade without having to apply for permission which I was previously able to do when I catered at a juggling festival in the Republic of Ireland. I may no longer be able to retire to my house in France as I had planned to do. In general terms the UK economy is predicted to shrink as restriction free trade with our major trading partners is disrupted. Inflation is set to rise as the pound falls and possible tariffs on imports will exacerbate this particularly on food products. The Union between England and Scotland is likely to end after more than 300 years. The division in society caused by Brexit will take a long time to heal. The value of the pound has already suffered along with overseas investment in British industry. Labour shortages in the NHS and other industries such as agriculture will get worse as EU immigrants continue leave the country in large numbers. Britain will be isolated and lengthy trade negotiations will have to be entered into with not only the EU but also 70 other countries which we previously had trade deals with as a member of the EU. No doubt you will continue to disregard these concerns as simply ''project fear'' without providing any evidence and will reject any links I provide to examples of some of them already happening as fake news from the liberal media. I have no illusions about convincing you as I have already seen how you operate and am aware of your trolling and petty nationalistic attitudes. You are not even in any jeopardy if your ill informed opinions turn out to be completely wrong as you don't live in the UK as I do. In fact, I don't really know why I'm even bothering to take the time to reply to you. There are many far better informed and less entrenched people here to converse with. Have a nice day.

  14. Just to reinforce Bush- Cheney's astute obsevation of Canadians' interest in the politics of the United States, we have 1815 more days to be interested in President Trump's administration.

  15. Don't you think they should at least stay in Britain instead of following their prey halfway round the world? Perhaps Meghan and Harry should have moved to Russia or China. The British gutter-press wouldn't have dared to follow them there. On the other hand, in those countries Meghan would have learned what real racism is.
