  1. What they were doing was a school spirit thing modeled after the New Zealand All Black rugby team. That, in turn, is based on a native New Zealand war dance, which Phillips observed in one of the interviews, and said that was one of the reasons he came over, because it offended him seeing a bunch of white kids 'appropriating' it. But again, you're ignoring the fact the students didn't move. This adult man moved right in against them, holding his drum up to within inches of that boys face, while his colleagues beside him took video. Don't tell me they weren't looking to provoke the kids in the MAGA caps so they could get good video. They clearly were, as evidenced from the clearly recorded words of one of them yelling that Europeans don't belong in America and they should go back to Europe

  2. Well to start with 'swarming' implies they moved. They didn't. The natives moved in among them. What were they supposed to do? Run away? Which begs the question: who was looking for a confrontation, the kids just standing there doing school chants, or the media savvy activist adult accompanied by several guys with cameras, wading in among them playing his drum in their faces? A lot of people point out how close that kid was. But it wasn't him that moved into the Indian's face, it was the indian moving into the kid's face.

  3. Perhaps an excellent lesson for a lot of people. The story is a Rorschach test—tell me how you first reacted, and I can probably tell where you live, who you voted for in 2016, and your general take on a list of other issues—but it shouldn’t be. Take away the video and tell me why millions of people care so much about an obnoxious group of high-school students protesting legalized abortion and a small circle of American Indians protesting centuries of mistreatment who were briefly locked in a tense standoff. Take away Twitter and Facebook and explain why total strangers care so much about people they don’t know in a confrontation they didn’t witness. Why are we all so primed for outrage, and what if the thousands of words and countless hours spent on this had been directed toward something consequential? https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2019/01/julie-irwin-zimmerman-i-failed-covington-catholic-test/580897/

  4. Remember the influx of refugees from Syria? And, how Goodale and Trudeau assured us about the vetting process? How do you explain this? https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/cbsa-permanent-residency-error-1.4978765 How do you make mistakes as serious as this? When national security is involved - we can't afford any mistakes! How many more "mistakes" are there that hasn't been discovered yet? The Trudeau and Goodale must be held accountable! These two were the ones who'd open our borders despite concerns about the vetting process!

  5. FOX News pointed that lie out yesterday. And just like the fake and phony liberal media with their paid off liberal I hate Trump actors and activists anti-Trump gang they tried to make it a story about the white students to be a bunch of racists as usual. The real racist were the ones called the black nationalists that showed up and started to yell white racism and that the white students were products of incest and other ANTIFA like attacks and insults. Those students did nothing wrong but yet that lying media will try and attack anyone white who does not fit in with their narrative. The students were wearing MAGA hats and that is what set off the lying leftist liberal media into a crazy frenzie. They were pro Trump students, a not so politically correct thing to be these days in America now. That Indian drummer had ugly and terrible looking teeth. How did he manage to get in the military anyway? That surprises me indeed.

  6. Was that feminist member of the matriarchy lusting after Trudeau, objectifying him, thinking of him just as a sex object? Oh the toxic feminism!

  8. Horrors of horrors - none but I do have a cell phone which I rarely use... and I guess people are free to give the badly behaved adults and adult bigots in the room a free pass because - more horrors - the kids wore Maga hats and did some school cheers... kids never do stuff like that do they

  9. A group of Black men were shouting insults and obscenities at them, then these strange men come right in among them pounding drums and further insulting them. I'm struggling to understand why you think the kids were acting in a shitty manner. If I walk up to you pounding a drum in your face, holding it up right by your nose, are you going to be polite and respectful?

  10. They are free to chant their school cheers to drown out the racism directed at them. A good choice rather than beating the ever-luvin' sheet out of all transgressors involved...as they most certainly deserved a good beating for the racist trash they were spouting. You're free to defend THAT.

  11. He's a "professional protester". This isn't the first time he has targeted students, either. But the suit fits, so our friends on the left think he is Jesus coming down to save them all from the evil MAGA hat kids.

  12. Others noticed the discrepancy too, but the thing is this guy Phillips has used this as a fund raiser in documentaries - he is less and less credible all the time. Meanwhile the school is still closed today because of death threats. So sad to see how the media et al keep pushing a lie. Must've also missed the part where the other Native guy was making bigoted comments to the kids.

  13. I guess you missed the part where the Native Elder (angels sing) walked over with his cameramen and waded into the boys as they waited for the bus. But no worries...you didn't need to see that part.

  14. Without everybody voting none of the above and hen be willing to take to te streets to ensure these criminals don't shove somebody down their throats and forcing politicians to change their ways. Partys need to be abolished all candidates need to be independant and represent their constituants. Amongst them they can vote for a prime minister. Nothing is goin tochange until the citizens force change.

  15. The name of the people Berber may come from the Egyptians and others who just called them barbarians, which was a synonym for stranger. I know the Berbers call themselves Imazighen that means Noble and Free men depending of your interpretation.

  18. It is certainly not disrespectful nor racist to smile quietly or even 'smirk' at someone who is trying to intimidate you as they try to goad you into a response, or force you to move. It is disrespectful to approach a child, or even an adult, bang a drum within an inch of the child's face, and then lie about the circumstances of the encounter. The school had to close today due to threats, what a world this has become. Can they sue, should they https://lawandcrime.com/legal-analysis/covington-catholic-students-are-considering-legal-action-do-they-have-a-case/

  19. No good to run to the UN....Trudeau claims that Canada is the world's first "post national state". Meanwhile, the reality of Chinese nationalism has bitten him right in his post national ass.

  20. A lot of people-- not just left-wing voters-- are starting to question the system. A couple of signs that this isn't just a left-wing thing anymore: -Tucker Carlson's recent monologue about how capitalism isn't working for working-class families anymore, and the flurry of debate it touched off among right-wing commentators at places like the National Review. -Ann Coulter endorsing Ocasio-Cortez's suggestion of a 70% top marginal tax bracket: "start with the Koch brothers and make it a WEALTH tax!" In 2016 large numbers of people jumped onto the Trump train as well as the Bernie Sanders bandwagon because they're fed up with the status quo. While some of the people who voted for Trump might well have been motivated by a fear of Mexicans or Muslims, many of them voted for Trump because they believed he was going to fight for the blue collar people-- those Rust Belt voters in Wisconsin and Michigan and Pennsylvania that won him those states by a razor-thin margin voted for Trump because they thought he would listen to them while the establishment politicians in both parties aren't listening. I think that desire still exists and has only grown stronger. And that's why I think there's a strong appetite for the kind of policies that Elizabeth Warren has put at the center of her campaign. Breaking up monopolies, accountability for financial institutions, attacking tax avoidance, and this kind of thing: these are policies that people of all political stripes support. And that has been the focus of Warren's whole political career, starting from when she designed the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau for Obama before she was a Senator. I think an end to the rigged game in economics is one of the public's highest priorities right now, and Warren is the most credible person to campaign on that issue. -k

  23. The problem is that the economy is, by all accounts, heading downward. We could have tens of thousands more jobs if we'd probably develop and export our resources, but we can't do that because Mr. Sensitive and his idiotic environmental laws and policies are keeping the resource industry swaddled in red tape. Not to mention his bragging "Canada's back!" foreign affairs efforts have resulted in a big fat ZILCH for Canada, as his uber progressive lecturing have done nothing but piss off everyone from the Russians and Chinese to the Saudis and Japanese. Not to mention the Americans.
