I'm shocked I say, I'm shocked - I mean - whoda thunk this would happen https://metro.co.uk/2018/07/18/transgender-prisoner-sexually-assaulted-female-inmates-days-jailed-7728870/3 points

How many others in the economy have their incomes and wealth so specifically and completely nurtured and protected by public policy and subsidy? Essentially, a small group of farmers (perhaps 10,000) have become wealthy due to an almost complete elimination of competition. An article I recently read indicated that the average dairy farm in Canada is now worth millions of dollars. It's effectively a lactate lotto in which the winners are determined in advance. The system violates the basic principles, rules and safeguards that are supposed to govern free market economies.2 points

Please consider that Canada, especially "Anglo" Canada, already had a firm obsession with American politics and culture long before Trump ran for president. I wouldn't be here for over ten years if American content was not so pervasive in forum topics. Canadian media gorges itself on what is happening in the United States, regardless of Trump.2 points

Breaking news! Wynne and company spotted at Pearson booking one way flights to nice non extradition countries! Nah, just kidding. There's probably more than a few former Liberal cabinet members sh*tting bricks right now though. It takes quite a bit of work to blow through 180 billion or so in 15 years.2 points

Since we have the technology, why have representatives at all? Create a system of direct democracy, something less extreme but along the lines of a Geomocracy. I agree, political parties have the ability to force an ideology onto a voting collective even though they may have not agreed entirely with ideology.2 points

I think political parties should be abolished. every person who claims to represent their constituancy should be doing exactly that. not what their leader tells them to vote for. When someone has a good idea it should be supported. Not oh, thats an ndp idea so you have to vote against it etc. All the persons who are elected can then vote for a leader. Everybody has a say in the budget as it affects everybody. That way no party whips exist. The right of the people to fire for cause no severence. When your term is up thats it no big fat payouts.1 point

There we go with the fringe politics. Russia needs to rejoin the west. They desperately want to rejoin the west. There are enormous obstacle to rejoining the west. Trump is trying solve world problems whilst critics are trying to make more problem. The election medelling had a very small impact on our election because of the de-centralized nature of said election. Stop whining over a lost election. Start thinking about why you lost in the first place. Go back to grass root politics. Stop supporting a liberal globalist agenda that doesn't work for "deplorables".1 point

What's the problem ? Justin Trudeau has visited the United States 16 times, and Freeland's minions even more, trying to influence U.S. trade policy. Why are some people so afraid of Putin getting chummy with the USA, but not afraid to be NATO deadbeats ?1 point

Agreed.....being American means never having to apologize for being American. But I hear that Canada loves to do that....different strokes for different folks.1 point

Perfect length. Now go further by actually typing a coherent comment based on facts not false accusations like communist.1 point

I learned not to waste my time reading your incoherent. Comments. You ramble on with false premises and an indoctrinated ideology, you want to comment to me? One or or 2 sentences like your last reply. Perfect1 point

I’m not reading your nonsense . The answer to my question was yes or no. If you can’t answer with a yes or no then don’t bother ,.1 point

The Syrians we took in were safe in Turkey. They weren't being bombed by anyone. And we will be paying for them for most of the rest of their lives.1 point

I don't think that you are getting my drift at all here. So, if you are unable to figure it out well there is not much point going further with you on this.1 point

Politicians don't sweat this. They know even if they get caught they won't do hard time or have to pay the money back. Thats why it happens in the first place1 point

Yeah but we're not really offended by Anti-American sentiment, we're more amused, if anything BC didn't spend 10 years complaining about anti-american sentiment, he spent 10 years trolling you guys about it. I'm just a late adopter. xP1 point
-
Initially I just came to say a friendly hello but BC exposed me to your anti-american fetish. It was too good of an opportunity to pass so I join the darkside calling canadians out for their behavior. But mainly I really want to be a pro-conservative voice to counter democrat liberal globalization agenda that never benefitted the average american "deplorables".1 point

Tell that to the deplorables in the midwest the globalist left behind. Trump has done more for the minorities in this country than any democrat globalist ever would. “It’s not just a theoretical discussion about economic nationalists versus globalists. It’s about what works, and a lot of these globalist policies never delivered as advertised.” https://www.politico.com/story/2018/03/08/trump-tariffs-winners-losers-4484761 point

I wonder if President Trump apologized to Putin in Helsinki for destroying a company of Russian mercenaries in Syria....."so sorry Vlad...but my guys just needed some target practice":1 point
-
Trump bombed Syria regardless of Putin/Russia, and then had the balls to meet him in Helsinki after doing it. Trudeau did neither, because he is a NATO deadbeat and small player on the world stage...like most putzes. "Trump matters more than Trudeau." ®1 point

Trump is not responsible for Canada, nor was he elected to Make Canada Great Again. That is Trudeau's job, and he is failing miserably.1 point

Because they are paying more than 6 times less to their Chinesee employees.1 point

Please tell me how my argument is skewed? Has Mexico gotten out of poverty yet? Interesting that decades of outsourcing by American corporations helped China become the powerhouse it is today. That's under the guise of 'globalization'. I am sure you understand this, but ignore it to continue trolling.1 point

Ask US corps why they love doing business in China. It's not predatory when the USA loves to outsource to cheaper labour markets. It's by design!1 point

Yes, it's gotten to the point I don't watch ANY news shows or talk shows from the US. Strange thing is, social justice lunatics seem to want to push everybody into their assorted little tribal group identity, which would seem to be contradictory to their stated goals of inclusion and diversity. I guess that means everybody but the evil white man? Then we have to listen to Hollywood talking heads preaching about diversity from the safety of their gated communities, and preaching about gun control from behind their phalanx of armed body guards. Liberalism is a swirling ball of contradictions, so don't get me started. But yeah, the 'evil white man' who was the first to put an end to slavery. The evil white man who created damn near everything under the sun, not to mention the most progressive, technologically advanced and comparatively SAFEST societies to ever exist in human history. Which is of course, why everybody wants to come here and subject themselves to the "oppression" of the evil white man. And if you go to University do you know what you will be studying? The vast achievements of old dead white guys. Pick any discipline: Science, medicine, business, the arts. Yeah, those evil white men are the worst. I swear, if SJW's get any stupider their heads are going to implode because nature abhors a vacuum. PS: I watched a few Jordan Peterson videos and can't figure out what all the hubbub is about?1 point

1) The polls all showed a Conservative majority, which is what happened. 2) No, the polls all showed a Conservative majority, which is what happened. 3) Yes, and the polls all showed a Conservative majority, which is what happened. 4) The polls all showed a Conservative majority, which is what happened. 5) Who knows why you make up 'bull shit' and post it time after time despite obvious facts ? I still don't know what you have against polls that said your guy would win... and he won. You make up a fantasy world, then you criticize that world. The mind boggles.1 point

I think this issue is a non starter because it doesn't solve one fundamental fact. How to reconcile with those you disagree. How can you turn something that is potentially a zero sum game into a win win game. So you have to have leaders willing to do the right thing with feedback and hold them accountable. But that feedback has to be tempered. We all know too well of public hysteria and knee jerk reaction, mob rule essentially. The process for reconciliation start with your core fundamental values, to respect one another (life, liberty, pursuit of happiness etc...). Technology can solve many problems but It can't solve what is essentially a human problem. It's quite obvious to me that a lot of us who debate on this forum seem to have lost a fundamental friendliness to one another. Politicians are subject to the same problem.1 point

Trump's bellicose tweets toward Trudeau and other Canadian officials has certainly shrivelled their dicks.1 point

The only shriveled dicks I see are those Canadians who support the petulant, cowardly bully that Trump is.0 points
