Yes the palestinians do have a claim in front of the UN, and yet so does Israel.1 point

Did you know there were over 600,000 Jews who were driven out of other Arab countries by their militaries, angry mobs, and government persecution? Their properties confiscated and many of their synagogues were burnt down. These 600,000 Jews became refugees and ended up having children in other countries. But these countries welcomed them with open arms and granted them citizenship, rather than creating an embittered disenfranchised population. Why could the one tiny country of Israel do for 600,000 refugees what 20 Arab countries could not do for their own people? There's one reason, and one reason only, Palestinians are kept stateless in camps as a cynical, cruel, ploy by Arab leaders to delegitimize Israel.1 point

We're well past that at this point, obviously. The point of my post was to explain to you that the UN is not seen as a credible or neutral or balanced authority when it comes to the Arab-Israeli conflict or the issue of Palestine. Therefore there's no point for you to keep referring to the UN doing something or saying something, because no one who disagrees with you cares. You have to come up with your own argument, rather than the "UN said so".1 point

Well in my case, the Soviet Union loomed far larger and nuclear capable than the DPRK, so it was not a stretch to associate military service with nukes as a meaningful contribution to the perceived threat and propaganda. Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD) worked for the most part....still does. Plus all the engineering and experience was rewarding (applied physics). Agreed...not "bad". I think some of these individuals also enjoy the social and group think aspects of such an adventure across the border. They may feel impotent, but my question is why even put oneself in that psychological position to begin with. Social media has made it far easier for these folks to work themselves into a frenzied lather. No offense taken....anybody with even a modicum of understanding for WW2 knows that the Soviets and other nations sacrificed more blood and homeland treasure than the Americans. Hell, the largest group of Americans by ethnicity is...German. I know it is unrealistic for me to think that Canadians can largely ignore the "Excited States of America", but they probably can control their own reactions and volunteered dependencies.1 point

I agree. The use of Agent Orange in Viet-Nam was a crime against nature. However, there were mitigating factors like the NVA invading South Viet-Nam from the Trail. The North had started the war and by the time Agent Orange was employed in large amounts, the situation was very serious.1 point

Doesn't matter to the dead locals...in places like Haiti. Canada's ruling government wants Trump to continue as dominant "world player" (i.e. Freeland's speech).1 point

Yes, there are millions of potential LEGAL immigrants who would gladly come to the U.S., just as many millions have before. Some people make no distinction between legal and illegal immigrants...we call them "liberals" or "progressives". Even their hero Barack Obama deported millions of illegals back to country of origin....it's the law.1 point

There are probably millions of wannabee legal immigrants that would like to immigrate to America and take those jobs that you say would be lost by getting rid of those criminal illegals. Even here in Canada, which you appear to not give much of a crap about, are also waiting to immigrate to Canada legally where they could fill the jobs that the now illegals will no doubt take. You really need to get your priorities right.1 point

Evidence found that seems to show this dinosaur was several thousand years old. Quote Astonishing T. Rex Soft Tissue Find Seriously Challenges Evolution Andrew Sibley 29th March 2005 Researchers have recently found soft tissues, including blood vessels, bone cells and even what looks like blood cells within the thighbone of a tyrannosaurus rex specimen that has not yet fully fossilised. While the theory of evolution asserts this bone to be 68 millions years old, this astonishing find seriously challenges the dogma of millions of years of supposed evolutionary change. This bone was found in the Hell Creek Formation sandstones of Montana, USA, and labelled MOR (Museum of the Rockies) 1125. In order to move the large bone that had been encased in a plaster jacket for protection by helicopter, it was necessary to cut it in two, and it was found to be hollow inside with an un-fossilised appearance. Instead of treating the bone with preservative it was instead sent for analysis to Dr Mary Schweitzer of North Carolina State University who studied the structure. Schweitzer has previously identified soft tissues, including haemoglobin protein within tyrannosaurus rex bones, but previous finds have gained less attention. As reported in the journal Science,[ii] Schweitzer used a chemical treatment to dissolve the calcium bone structure, while leaving soft tissue parts intact. She found a degree of preservation that had not been seen before, with the flexible and transparent soft tissues still intact. According to the BBC website she is reported to have said that; It still has places where there are no secondary minerals, and it's not any more dense than modern bone; it's bone more than anything.[iii] This evidence is very uncomfortable for evolutionary scientists and according to the BBC website other researchers have tried to play down the finds by questioning the evidence.[iv] But Schweitzer is reported to have found intact blood vessels together with cells known as osteocytes, which are essential for bone construction. Schweitzer was also able to squeeze out cells from the blood vessels, which looked remarkably like red blood cells with their internal structure visible. Schweitzer has not yet tested for DNA, but believes that original proteins are present in the structure, and further tests are continuing. Conclusion This is a truly remarkable find and challenges the evolutionary long age dating assertions of millions of years that are so often trotted out by researchers without any objective evidence. Other researchers committed to the theory of evolution are so troubled by the findings that they are seeking to challenge the evidence instead of letting the evidence challenge the theory. It is unthinkable that proteins could survive for millions of years, but instead points to the bones being of the order of several thousand years old. In fact it is remarkable that such structures have survived even for several thousand years. Creationist scientists believe that the dinosaurs were buried during the time of Noah in flood sediments around 4400 years ago. We look forward to publication of further evidence for proteins in this bone as it is presented. I guess that I must of pushed most of your liberal buttons, hey? You are a liberal, right? I "derived" that assumption from our constant wonderful discussions that we have had back and forth that have been going on for quite a long time now. Anything else I can help you out with? Just asking. At least Omni liked my reply. Thanks Omni.0 points

Yes, newborns and little kids are cute. It's not the point. Babies and little kids are in a different situation and may not be accountable to same degree as somebody older with some understanding who does something bad. But according to the Bible, people are still born with that sinful nature although it may not be evident until they get older. So you don't agree that people in general are sinful or in rebellion against God. People that don't accept God as a fact are opposing him to begin with according to the Bible. Talking about babies and little children, whom Jesus said he loved, misses the point. We are talking about the Biblical teaching of mankind in general.0 points
