See now my view last night when I was reading that stuff was, assuming the person was real, here is someone from India or whatever and he wants to speak out. He should be allowed to say what he has been feeling. That way we can all hear it. Besides, it could be useful to have some Muslims on here to give their voice. Real Muslims, not a pretender who might be from another board, which the name shall not be revealed, who came here to flame us because he is banned and cannot log in anymore, because he tried to delete all his posts.4 points

Coined a new phrase- FDS Forum Derangement Syndrome- A condition in which members of a forum threaten to leave the forum, only to keep coming back again either with the same or new profile.3 points

No, it's putting up with this perverted notion of a traditional husband that helps maintain social problems. And I don't think it's much of a stretch to say that most of the problems we see in the world today are a result of a very similar and very traditional power dynamic; bigger powerful nations slapping smaller weaker people's around for the same reason, their own pleasure, read their power and wealth - ultimately this is what perverts the sense of what being in charge means, what constitutes bad behaviour and how to deal with it. Its no less different really in the relationship between all too many governments and the people they govern and where might makes right. Where do you think governments get the sense they can get away with it? Good olde fashioned traditional attitudes like the ones being highlighted above often as not.2 points

Indeed. I am always wondering as to why NASA can take pictures of something close up and those pictures come out perfectly clear but yet other pictures come out blurred? Is there something that they don't want the public to see? Personally, I don't believe that America ever went to the moon at all. It's been decades since Neil and Buzz went to the moon. Why has America not gone back since? Surely by now they would be flying back and forth to the moon with people on board living in buildings on the moon. The moon would be a great stop off an resting place for astronauts to fly too before they take the long journey one day to Mars. Just curious.1 point

It may "appear" to you that there is nothing wrong with them at all, but you do not know. My sister nearly lost her leg in a motorcycle accident. She has a handicapped sign for her car. She walks normally thanks to physio, but a bit slower. She is in constant pain. If she is wearing long pants, you wouldn't see her mangled leg and might infer there is "nothing wrong with her at all".1 point

You realize that minorities virtually always vote for someone of their race and religion given the opportunity, right? Almost all Blacks DID vote for Obama. Pretty much all sikhs will vote for Jasmeet Singh. Every time there is a rush at a riding in an ethnic area it's the Indians vs the Pakistanis vs the Sri Lankans vs the Arabs vs Chinese. Whichever one can mobilize 'his' community gets the nomination. The French have been doing that for an awful long time, too. The only people that don't do it are white English people, except for a minority who are called racists for doing so.1 point

Speaking for myself I still think the idea of establishing a Jewish state in Europe following the 2nd world war would have made sense. I think it goes without saying the world would be a vastly different place today. Maybe even a more peaceful and progressive place. I fail to see why saying this makes me anti-semitic.1 point

Of course. It's just impossible that the poster was real. Since you warned us about it, it has to be you.1 point

As far as I'm aware that cultural practice is only widespread within parts of the world where there are an awful lot of Muslims and Muslim influence. Egypt and Malaysia, for example, over 90% of the population of women is subjected to it. In Nigeria, which is only 50% Muslim, somewhere between 25% -50% of the women are subjected to it. In Somalia its 98% and in Malaysia 93%, in Mali 89%. All of the countries with high numbers of FGM are, as far as I'm aware, Muslim or mainly Muslim. The west african countries you talk about, ie, Senegal, Gambia, Mali, Burkino Faso, Guinea, are mainly Muslim. The practices is becoming popular in Indonesia, too, where, according to an article I read the authorities have given up trying to stamp it out in the face of opposition by religious authorities.1 point

Perhaps Charles just made a mistake. I understand you being a little upset about it though. At least you didn't get a warning point. You've raked him over the coals quite nicely, and the thread is now restored so what more do you want? An apology will likely not be forthcoming! Your comments about the other forum are spot-on. I don't post there, why bother since this forum is here already well-developed. But I have looked at it. People like @The_Squid and @Michael Hardner post insulting comments about MLW members. They even discuss plans to make posts here. Some of them (like squid, it appears) come here primarily to trash this forum and create discord. What they don't get is every forum has problems like this. Even their new one will face the same difficulties, and this behaviour by those members who left, people like squid encouraged by people like MH only adds to the problem.1 point

Refugees shouldn't automatically get Permanent Residence status. That's absolutely ridiculous. There's areas in most major Canadian cities of ie: Somali refuges which are-poor & crime-riddled. Refugees should all be given temporary protected status. If after a certain # of years( 5 or 6? Depending on the home country situation), if it's safe to return home you should be forced to do so. And every few years the home situation should be re-evaluated. If you have done well in Canada over those 6 years, are employed, no criminal record, have learned English or french, then you could apply on a fast track to stay as a permanent resident before you're forced to go home. As of now, approved refugees automatically receive PR status, and there's no requirement for them to learn English/french, and many do not. As an aside, the rules are now (thanks to the Liberals new rules) that to become a Canadian Citizen, only people 18 to 54 have to pass a language test for English/French. What a bunch of BS. Absolutely 100% of new Canadian citizens should be required to be able to speak, read, and write english or french fluently, I don't care if you're 6 or 90. How are supposed to vote if you can't even understand the news or what the politicians are saying? How are you supposed to fit into Canadian society as a Canadian? NONSENSE.1 point

alt left is the counter part of alt right. Uhhh.....normal people don't think it's okay to vandalize, or to indulge in mob mentality. It's not normal to accept bullies, nor is it normal to support bullying behaviours. Normal people aren't disorientated, and confused with their principles, and values. They aren't two-faced, giving mixed messages....or resorting to lies, to suit their narratives. We don't consider sociopaths, nor those who shows some symptoms of it, "normal people."1 point
