Those are Russian bombers...not American. That's one airbase...and a lot of Tu-95s. The average Russian nuclear cruise missile is in the 20-100 kt yield range. Those Bears carry around six each in the nuclear role. Maybe more if just frying Europe. Hiroshima was flattened with (just!) 15kt. Not toys...one can change the world. Really change the world. No...Putin is not out to get us. But one buys insurance before the fire...not after. Hey...guess what? The Russians also have working SLBMs and a variety of MIRV capable ICBMs...most on mobile launches. This besides the fleet of Tu-95s, Tu-22s and Tu-160s. How about that! Someone is taking this seriously...duck n' cover.2 points

You don't speak for Islam. There has already been for you an excellent pattern in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, "Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allah . We have denied you, and there has appeared between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allah alone" except for the saying of Abraham to his father, "I will surely ask forgiveness for you, but I have not [power to do] for you anything against Allah . Our Lord, upon You we have relied, and to You we have returned, and to You is the destination. https://quran.com/60/41 point

http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/russia-domestic-abuse-civil-offence-1.3955317 In Russia, 75% of the population says they are Orthodox Christian. Recently they changed their laws so that hitting your wife/kid was not a criminal act - it only becomes criminal if hospitalization is required. Now, if the victim wants to bring charges, the abuser can be fined or maybe spend a few days in jail. Of course, if your spouse is abusing you and the most he'll get is a "fine" for it, are you going to bring charges? When one looks a the wife-beating laws in the Quran or Sharia, it looks like the Russian law - beat her, but don't hurt her too badly. Even In Muslim countries where there are laws against wife-beating, this "it's ok to beat them a little bit" permeates society, so the Muslim woman faces the same dilemma as does the Russian woman - even if she complains, the penalties are minor (if any) and she'll still have to live with him later. If you research the countries with the highest rates of domestic violence and other forms of female oppression, you'll notice they include "Muslim" countries, "Christian" countries and "Hindu" countries. It seems that poverty, lack of education and a strongly religious society all contribute to the problem of female oppression; it doesn't really matter which religion holds sway in that society. As people become more educated and begin to move away from the superstitions and myths of religion, they also seem more able to leave behind the notion that women are property to be controlled by men.1 point

The central management aspect is similar to the USSR, but the EU is more like a technocracy. Pretty much the opposite of socialism. The real power in the EU rests in the hands of elites on the EC. Guys like ... José Manuel Durão Barroso - Chairman of Goldman Sachs international. Romano Prodi - international advisor to Goldman Sachs. Jacques Santer - Another economic elitist - At least he doesnt work for Goldman Sachs but he was on the board of General Mediterranean Holdings. A firm that set itself up to profit from the invasion of Iraq. Jacques Delors - A prominent french banker. Those are the last few presidents of the commission. None of them are fans of democracy. None of them were elected by European voters. The EU is an attempt by bankers, banks, and economic elites to try to take control of Europe away from European voters.1 point

" I believe the King James Bible, and all versions of the Bible, Koran, any holy book you care to mention were written by people who may have believed they were inspired by what they call "God" but are in fact their own projections of what they think "God" said.. I don't find such projections inspiring just self-indulgent and most usually annoying" Rue 2017-123 " Yah yah you think your words have taken on the shape of "God". No not really, and you'd probably be better off to stop playing with that, put it in a bag and dispose of it before you get sick. I never did understand people who are fascinated with and play with dog poo." Rue 2016-666 " I find very little if any difference between someone trying to preach and their passing gas. Either way I stand down-wind." Rue 40 a.d. "They say be careful of who you keep company with and who you quote. Your credibility could be at stake. That's why I refer to myself as the ultimate authority as to who I quote. That way at least I get it right." Rue the year 5023 "I know why they come only to preach the King James Bible. They don't know how to juggle them. " Rue 1743 :1 point

I reject the illogical claims while you are denying the logic. Falsehood cannot be denied, because its also false. Only truth could be denied as you do. Sharia means "Quran". Some "so-Called" Muslims add within it stories-fairy tales from ancient times too and make it something else, its not Sharia. Even if we accept this illogical action of them as "true" just for a moment, their stories "cannot be" contradictory with Quran. Because Quran is at the top while ancient stories comes later than Quran, according to these "so-called Muslims". So while Allah says there is no compulsion, it does not matter what an ancient story says. Also these stories not only contradicts with Quran but they also contradicts with each other. Why are you picking the cheries ? You mean Quran was written by prophet Muhammad but you are ignoring Quran verses and you are following stories written by unknown persons ? Which one of us are the hypocrite ? Which one of us are in denial ? You or me ?1 point

So it was Muslims who exposed priests having sex with kids? And Jews who punished it? You ever wonder why such stories don't arise from the Islamic world at all?1 point

"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John ch3 vs 5. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John ch14 vs6 This verse tells me one must be born again by faith in Jesus Christ in order to have eternal life. There is no other way. One must believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God as the gospels teach, and that he is in fact God as the scriptures teach. The Bible teaches all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Romans) Islam does not teach man is a sinner and needs a savior, but the Bible makes it clear he is. The Bible teaches man is in a lost state until he is born again and know Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Do you know Christ as your personal savior? If you were to die at this moment, do you know where you would go? If not, don't waste any more time. Get a bible (KIng Jame Bible) 1611 if an English translation is needed and study and pray. Ask Jesus to save you. That is the most important issue in life.1 point

Islamophobia is not about lack of respect for Islam. add to that the 38% immigrant population, and us old stock are only 12%?1 point

No, a court of scorn. No, the good Christians keep telling us that we are a Christian nation. Yes, there is a 2-3 time greater rate of domestic violence among aboriginals than non. Remember that aboriginal population of Canada is under 5%, and it is also younger which is another big indicator of domestic violence. That still leaves a lot of good Christians killing good Christians.1 point

We bury 60-70 persons/year in domestic homicide, and 3% of 60 is 1.8. It seems that those old Catholics and Christians are doing worse than Muslims.1 point

What does that nonsense have to do with what I said? Your Islamophobic petition may attract a lot of signatures, but that is not a problem with Islam it is a problem of non-thinking Islamophobes. If you had a petition to remove the supremacy of God from the constitution then you would get intelligent signatures instead.1 point

I think I know what he means by "Islamist" and "liberal", but not sure what he'd mean by 'conservative'. For me, that would be a Muslim along the lines of horse-and-buggy Mennonites. For someone else I suspect that would be someone who'd engage in honor killings/FGM and similar activities; I would consider those people just criminals. Does he offer a definition for each category?1 point

Agreed...and not surprised that many Canadians want somebody else to pay for it. Canada has long been a laggard for public and private investment in R&D...no wonder so many want to limit IP rights for development in other nations.1 point

The problem is that if you talk to Muslims and ask for their definition it is basically anyone who questions Islamic teachings. That's why even Muslims in Canada have been given this title. If you don't like Islamic teachings, as currently accepted by Islamic scholars, you're an Islamophobe. If you mock them you're worthy of death, at least if you do so through cartoons. What people have to remember is that Islam is not merely a religion, it is a political ideology complete with a complex hierarchy of important governmental duties and behaviours, criminal and family laws. The western conceit is that Muslims don't take these things seriously. Why? Because western conceit arises from a western outlook on life, which sees a distinct separation between church and state, and a secular view of life. And that is taken as normality. What Westerners continually refuse to accept is that this outlook is not shared by the majority of the world's Muslims. There simply IS no separation between Islam and Islamic laws and duties in their minds because both come from God. Therefore, to be a Muslim, one must accept the validity of Muslim laws and duties, including how government should be ordered. Not ALL Muslims particularly in the West, support this, but the great majority of the world's Muslims do, and as the number of Muslims in the West has risen (not coincidentally along with Muslim religious-based violence) people have become more outspoken about their disagreement with Islam as a political ideology, and with those who practice it. The actual definition for Islamophobia is the 'unreasonable fear of' Muslims, but what fear is reasonable? No one ever says. Saying it should be illegal to mock or ridicule Islamic teachings or those who follow them is akin to saying it should be illegal to mock Communism, or Democracy, or Capitalism and those who believe in them. It's undemocratic, and an affront to basic freedoms.1 point

It's got a lot to do with what we eat. I can't even pronounce half the stuff that is in much processed and prepared foods. People are not getting the right nutrients. Much of these ingredients trick the body in many ways. Some additives repress the 'feeling full' so you tend to overeat. Glucose-fructose is a sugar replacement, but your body processes the gluc-fruct in different ways than regular sugar. For what it's worth, glucose fructose is still better for you than aspartame. When the body gets the right nutrients, it does not feel starved all the time, and you actually end up eating less. Overeating, not eating the right foods, sedentary lifestyles, tv/vid game playing, lack of exercise. But the main thing .. the MAIN thing is the types of foods that are eaten.1 point
