  2. Literally all you did here is ask why people are talking about it. How does that qualify as "intelligent input"? It's not irrelevant or symbolic. FYI there are already bylaws in place about trees in a lot of municipalities, and they are a total pain in the ass. The last thing we need is for things to get worse. I have a 50-foot evergreen in my front yard that shits needles and small red seed things about 1 cm long all year round, and I'm not allowed to cut the MFer down. They kill my grass and fill in the edging along my whole front yard, I have to go outside with my leaf blower at least every 5 days or my yard turns to shit. All across the lower mainland there are different regulations about what trees you can and can't cut, but you basically need a permit to cut down any tree that has a 10" diameter base, and in most cases you just can't get it. What some people are doing now is applying for a driveway just so that they can cut the tree down, regardless of whether they're getting the driveway or not. Our driveways here are in the back though, so we can't do that. I hate that fkn tree.
  3. Given how much you lie and given that you're a liberal supporter I assume that means you voted for him twice You're not here everyday just supporting the guy and defending him because you don't vote for him. The person who is NDP would have lots of criticisms of this guy and you absolutely do not. A person who was conservative would have a lot of criticisms in this guy you absolutely do not. So it's pretty obvious you're full of crap.
  4. Oh, well, I addressed that by not voting for him in the first place you see. But if course you dismiss that because you have an extreme disregard for the democratic choices people make when they don't align with your own.
  5. Sure but why do you think knowing it was a lab leak would or should have resulted in a different response? Again, so what? We'd still have needed to respond to it either way. That's not a coincidence it just is what it is.
  6. Sure it does. Prove otherwise
  7. As discussed, Canada’s sovereignty can’t be on the table, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a way to essentially allow Americans and Canadians to live and work in each other’s countries, respecting local laws and customs. There would have to be a minimum residency length to draw public benefits, that kind of thing. So for a time foreign residents would pay into private insurance. This is the kind of arrangement that Carney and Trump should seek. Instead of trying to turn Canada into America, let Americans have the option of living as Canadians and vice versa. I think it would be the best scenario for both countries, because each country is better at certain things, but in some cases you can’t enjoy certain Canadian benefits without giving up some American ones and the opposite is also true. The point of trade and unions is to maximize opportunities and options. I think the citizens of each country envy the other country in certain ways. America provides more economic opportunity but also greater danger. I think some people are better suited to one way than the other, so country of origin shouldn’t prevent people from choosing the system that works best for them. Over time the countries can adopt effective practices from each other and much duplication of departments and regulations can be reduced. It means letting go of some protectionist trade policies in exchange for huge upside synergies. Canada has the energy, resources, educated population, safety, and stable financial institutions. The US has the larger market and economy of scale, as well as shorter winters. Why not give people on both sides of the border the ability to choose which side to live and work on for as long as they want?
  8. No it just means you lied. But I love that you now somehow want your life to be my fault
  9. In think that choice reflects a rational aspect of our natural governing ideology. I'm not so sure we'd eschew rebellion any more than I'm worried about the establishment shoving if it was pushed. I've seen it arrest nearly 900 people and then cave with my own eyes. I liked John Ralston Sauls argument that the traditional narrative of "Canadian deference to authority" is a fundamental myth created by an ineffective colonial elite to control the population. Under control? It seems we're barely governable.
  10. I hear the truth. That's all I need to hear. Unlike you Who has to listen to all the voices in your head And you still can't address the fact that either way what carney said shows an extreme disregard and dismissal of the democratic process in his MPS
  11. Sadly the Democrats have been taken over by radical Islam
  12. We've discussed this extensively. We differ on the necessary response. I don't know if it was deliberate. You'd be shitting your pants if you actually knew how many accidental lab leaks there are every year from BSL4 labs. I know, so its a possibility it was accidental. Either way, accidental or intentional, the people who were responsible massively profited from it and went to great lengths to cover it up. They had a plan either way. I don't think 👇 this 👇 was a coincidence.
  13. Your weather reports do NOT represent CLIMATE. Duh
  14. If we did it still wouldn't have made any difference in how we needed to respond. Shit happens. Of course if you did know 100% you'd still have a long way to go to prove that it was deliberate. You do think it was deliberate don't you or am I mistaken? My apologies if that's the case.
  15. Trump Said "We Don't Need Canada" VIDEO "We don't need anything Canada has" AKA Trump believes Canucks are WORTHLESS. LMAO
  16. I can't speak for Liberal voters but as a lefty it seems to me the Conservatives complain like Dippers but sympathize like Liberals. During the 2008 global financial crisis, the federal Conservative government under Prime Minister Stephen Harper launched the Insured Mortgage Purchase Program (IMPP).The Action: Through the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), the government bought up to $69 billion in bank-held, insured mortgage pools. This injected massive amounts of emergency cash directly into Canada's largest banks. https://www.canada.ca/en/news/archive/2008/10/government-canada-responds-global-financial-turmoil-support-canadian-credit-markets.html
  17. It doesn't. For example I've asked you dozens of times to provide the science that I mentioned above and you never have been able to. So what happens is actually that politicians and other groups with interests make statements claiming that they are speaking for the science. But very commonly if not almost universally the science actually says something different than what they're claiming. But they use the 'claim' of science, and the public never sees the original science. So it does NOT wind up informing the public, it participates in the misinformation of the public.
  18. Because it needs to be said - these are mad times. Once Hitler secured absolute power, he purged the actual anti-capitalist, "left" wing of his own party (the Strasserite faction) during the Night of the Long Knives in 1934, firmly cementing the regime's alliance with traditional conservative elites and industrialists. 19. yes we are going to use tax payers money and buy out the bankers and condo owners then convert all of them in to low income housing.....Does it really have anything to do with low income housing....no it has to do with the buy out to bankers....My only question here is how does a banker think this is a good idea....how does a liberal voter think this is a good idea.... https://www.youtube.com/shorts/-eadbklK1bg
  20. Right...you OTOH hear just everything.
  21. Sure, it naturally supports just everything you say.
  22. Same goes for those that tell me that they "care about the environment" because they drive two EV's and have solar panels on their houses. Then I show them that they have to drive their Teslas for 8 years just to catch up to my gas-powered car because of all the emissions that it took just to make their cars, let alone mine all the materials needed, and they get all upset. Then I show them that those solar panels are never going to produce enough power to replace the energy required just to build them, and their footprint is so big they will never in their lifetime reduce the CO2 outputs that was required to build them, and they just run away. They don't want to hear the truth. If it's all "made in China" then the emissions don't exist. Right? The few that manage to make it past the truth telling on their stupid EV's, I haul out Billy Bob on Youtube and they just about short-circuit and stroke out: "Green Energy" is a joke, and a massive lie.
  23. Yep. We see you lie pretty much daily. You get caught in lies constantly. There are times I wonder if you even know how to tell the truth. We've been through that too and basically you're lying again That does not support what you said in the slightest. It doesn't support the idea that climate change is a crisis and slightest. That's assumed at the outset without any facts And it doesn't say that climate change denial is a crisis. It says that different people having different ideas creates an epistemological crisis, Which has nothing to do with climate change or denial. It just means that having no common frame of reference makes discussion difficult In other words I keep asking you for science and you keep failing to produce any yet insisting it exists, that creates an epistemological crisis where my belief that the issue should be fact based and your belief that facts aren't important and should never be part of the discussion makes it impossible for us to reach a common understanding So no. You've proven that what you've said is wrong not that what you said is correct. I guess you didn't actually read the article
  24. On the contrary. That's literally what these people are saying with their silence. Carney said a thing and the first reaction is oh people have been saying that for decades now it's part of a trend so Carney hasn't got a problem it's the trend that has the problem I can only assume they've been taking lessons from you Then they try and claim that he never actually said what he did say and that there's no problem at all. When asked directly if this is a problem they skirt the answer and pretend not to hear So they are absolutely stating that carney doesn't have a problem with their answers. This has nothing to do with any alternative. Whether the alternative is better or worse does not change what this man has done in the slightest. If Connie shoots somebody then whether or not you like the alternative leader does not change the fact that he shot somebody. It's that simple Sigh. Let me guess. Carney's horrible attitude and lack of respect for the democratic process and his own mp's is harper's fault? And yet again here you are desperately defending the guys you claim you don't support.🙄🙄🙄🙄
  25. Nope, it's even inspired scholarly investigations, they call it a crisis. You've always demanded evidence of a crisis, so here you go. That Which They Will Not See: Climate Denial as a Vector of Epistemological Crisis in the Contemporary United States
