In other words what I said was accurate Yes. There are lots of examples where even though the constitution of the country did not allow for it a negotiated separation took place and that kind of thing is strongly encouraged by the international community where it's obvious that one group wants to separate. It's always a negotiated process one way or another Where that doesn't happen you have civil war.And generally speaking most people like to avoid that. The Americans for example went that route when they couldn't work out the differences between southern independence and the national state Yes and the international community is strongly supported that. As our own Clarity Act says it must be a clear majority of people but once it's clear that the majority of people want to go then if that's the case it should be allowed

1) Somehow I just know before I even look into what was said in the OP that it's total BS 2) it sounds exactly like the Government of Canada preventing Alberta from extracting oil and building pipelines in order to protect the Trudeau family's long-time suppliers from Saudi Arabia and Nigeria. Only on a much, much smaller scale, over a tiny fraction of the time.

Does The National Anthem Upset You?
Deluge replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
There's a lot of shit going on this country that I don't like, but that's no reason to hate the national anthem. Unless, of course, you hate America and you wish to burn it to the ground - is that where you are comrade? -
Democrats running full blown Nazi in Maine
Reg Volk replied to Reg Volk's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
This is why the Left is embracing this Nazi wife-beating clown. He hates Jews. And that means that the Left loves him. -

That’s not the doctrine. It is because this life is suffering, it’s incumbent on us to make the world a better place incrementally. Death is irrelevant when you can make a heaven on earth.

So you're blaming Carney for Trump's coercion demanding a bribe of half share in the bridge profits for unspecified "damages" and taking a bribe from an owner of a competing bridge. Because you don't understand how Trump can throw a monkey wrench in bridge traffic. As always you blame OTHERS for Trump's CORRUPTION. 🤮

For both the Canadian public and the Canadian media - instead of tone-policing Poilievre, *THIS* is what you should be paying attention to. Five bills. One hundred days. Canada's federal government is building surveillance infrastructure that would require every Canadian to prove their identity to access ordinary websites, allow secret government orders to build interception tools, and hand sweeping power over our digital lives to a single Cabinet-appointed body. You just can't murder white people, apparently. And that's the most shocking thing of all to these clowns. -

Wife-beating Nazis hate Trump. Islamofascists in Iran who beat and r4pe women for not wearing hijabs hate Trump. Democrats all approve of wife-beating Nazis and they all hate Trump. Canadian Liberals hate Trump, and Canadian Liberals support Hamas terrorists that murder gays, burn children to death, and host street parties where Palestinian children come to spit on the naked corpses of r4ped and murdered women. I'm starting to see a really alarming pattern among the people who hate Trump... -

Yes well, why worry about this planet when your God has a Planet B waiting for you up in heaven.

No, I certainly don't. The collapse of small fishing communities in a global economy are precisely like canaries in a coal mine.

We need to fan the flames of the Albanian Flamingo Revolution into something global. By rights the favouritism the Moroun's enjoy should make a great catalyst. Public resentment over a political and economic system that favors the rich and powerful is spreading rapidly across Albania. Long-standing frustration with systemic corruption, economic inequality, and political impunity has recently coalesced into massive, nationwide civic mobilizations. The Catalyst: The "Flamingo Revolution" While dissatisfaction has been brewing for decades, the tipping point occurred in June 2026 with the eruption of the "Flamingo Revolution." The Project: Massive protests were triggered by a €1.4 billion luxury resort project backed by foreign billionaires and global elites—specifically Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump—on the ecologically sensitive and protected Sazan Island and Zvernec peninsula. The Grievance: Prime Minister Edi Rama's government bypassed environmental regulations and fast-tracked legal changes to permit construction in protected zones, which locals see as a direct monetization of sovereign territory to benefit a select group of oligarchs and foreign elites. The Slogan: Under the unifying cry "Albania is not for sale," the movement evolved from a localized environmental protest into an expansive, youth-led national uprising against state capture. This will increasingly become the future template for revolutions.

Donald Trump and the End of American Global Leadership. The United States strove for more than 100 years—since we entered World War I in April 1917—to hold its own as leader of the free world. It took Donald Trump precisely one month to abdicate that leadership, destroying everything his predecessors—from Woodrow Wilson to Franklin D. Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan—had built through two global conflicts, the Cold War and the creation of the post-World War II Western alliance. Trump thinks he is strong and making America stronger. But his bullying of Ukraine and capitulation to Vladimir Putin make us immeasurably weaker—a loss of reputation and power never likely to be regained. Sums it up nicely. Washington Monthly.
