  1. Past hour
  2. hodad will say anything to protect blacks, so nothing he says here, or anywhere else, can be taken seriously.
  3. He clearly was not the aggressor. That's a plain fact. Metcalf assaulted him (battery, actually) after being warned multiple times not to. You can have the opinion that it was not a proportional response, but it's certainly not a fact. Texas law considered (as do most jurisdictions) disparity of force when evaluating reasonableness. If a much smaller person is attacked by a much larger person, as in this case, it becomes more reasonable to defend oneself with escalated force. If a person is outnumbered by a crowd, as in this case, it becomes more reasonable to defend oneself with escalated force. In effect, a person who is facing overwhelming odds has a much lower threshold for reasonable escalation because they face a much higher risk of serious harm if they don't defend themselves. The jury here are people forming opinions. They clearly found the prosecutions characterization more convincing. Because the truth is that most of them are reasonable people, and reasonable people would leave a hostile situation. Because nothing about that situation--on either side--was important. But a stand your ground law doesn't say you have to be reasonable about removing yourself from a bad situation. They just that you have to be legal. SYG laws don't just allow for unreasonable escalations, they cause them. And in addition to being bad laws, we see over and over again that there is massive racial disparity in terms of protection under those laws. Extensive and well documented.
  4. We all lived through covid under a similar dictatorship. Couldn't even take a shit without the government trying to tell you what to do
  5. Not m*rons, you piece of shit, gobsmacked. Apparently California was able to bake leftism right into its election system. Turley expounds below:
  6. If you're talking about specific treatments, yes, like generic drugs after patents expire. But the price of medicine as a whole will never get cheaper. Constant evolution of treatments, techniques, drugs, equipment, buildings... that will always be inflationary. And the rich will always have a big advantage over the poor in getting treatment.
  7. Today
  8. Nope, not confused at all...your buddies verndabouy, goodless and legoman seem to be defending your feeble posts so it is not a stretch to believe you need permission form them to post LOL LOL LOL You are such a feeble petty little LOSER HA HA HA
  9. How would it be better off? Specifically?
  10. You must be exhausted from all that backpedalling. And the Right being nuanced? The Right thinks nuance are their new stepdad's sisters.
  11. And Quebec quickly becomes a failed state, unable to meet it's economic responsibilities. Blackmail is your strategy? Shooting yourself in the foot for spite?
  12. "Although it passed the committee with minimal controversy, the amendment was defeated in a full Senate vote on Wednesday, with the Carney government declaring it would not support a similar amendment if it was included in the amended bill sent back to the House of Commons."
  13. No, I certainly would not. I’m merely pointing out an awkward fact than many Albertan admirers of the US choose to ignore. I believe there should be a path to secession when the settled will of a province expresses it. However, with the benefit of hindsight, we may have given too much power to the provinces in Canada. Much of what we hear from these premiers is an extended rant about the evils of the federal government.
  14. It show that Milhouse will not stand on anything. Remember PP holding hands with convoy trash and hanging out with Diagolon? He stands for whatever he thinks will win him votes not what any principal. From another leader I might agree with you. Nobody is afraid of Milhouse. It's just nobody trusts him.
  15. Legato, I tend to disagree. Warren Buffet famously said that he travels differently from the rest of us.
  16. Disgusting? 60 bucks? Johnstone? When were you born? 1970s? You live in a different world than my great-great-grandparents.
  17. Whatever. But the Democrats are wiping the floor with the Trumplicans. Too late, all y'all were stupid enough to wreck your economy and your country. Enjoy. You got exactly what you wanted. Be happy.
  18. https://www.altotrain.ca/fr Like California, another huge boondoogle - that will never exist. https://hsr.ca.gov/
  19. Wasn't broken, A-Hole ^Pretending you don't post baby talk routinely. Smart to try to deny that, but nobody is buying it. LMAO
  20. The Liberal Caucus chair has every incentive to lie about this.
