Topaz Posted May 25, 2007 Report Posted May 25, 2007 As by now we know Rosie has left "the View" but before having on air argument with Elizabeth. The question was to Elizabeth "Do you believe I think our soldiers are terrorist?" Why not look at this question more closely. Rosie never said the troopers were terrorists. She said the US invade another country, did a regime changed and thousands of Iraqis are dead compared to the 2700+ US citizens that died on 9/11, 20,000 US soldiers are maimed for live and over 3000 dead, now who are the terrorist??? Let's face it, the Republicans have rich supporters, who own alot of the radio and tv air waves and if anyone says anything against the Bushs, then they call out the big mouths on the air waves to take them down!! I'm sure you'll see Elizabeth on Hannity show sometime in the near future and he'll praise her and say she a great American to take on Rosie and how it must have been unbearable for her to have to listen to Rosie!! Please!! I never understood why Elizabeth was pick as the co host because for one she has a very high pitched voice, she craves to be the center of attention with the stars on the show and she talks too fast at times. sharkman Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 Geez, not another Rosie thread. Topaz, I think I understand what it is you are trying to get across. But clearly Rosie thinks the U.S. troops are terrorists and England had some kind of secret conspiracy to get its soldiers arrested. She also thinks that Bush knew about the 9/11 attacks in advance or orchestrated them, if I remember correctly. Sorry to hi-jack a thread, but why is it that the left has so many conspiracy theories? I know they are not exactly alone, but they do seem to have more as they seek to smear and slander whoever they don't like. Bush secretly engineered both elections, and orchestrated 9/11. Big oil, corporations, the Dominionists, Catholics, Conservatives, Israel, Steven Harper and the Religious right are all involved in Giant Conspiracies that need to be RESISTED RIGHT NOW OR GLOBAL WARMING WILL KILL US ALL!! Every one of these conspiracy theories predicts dire results and calamity which is obviously an attempt to manipulate people to join the effort. And the simple minded do, in droves. Quote

B. Max Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 Rosie is part of the blame America first crowd. Quote
Topaz Posted May 26, 2007 Author Report Posted May 26, 2007 Well look at this way, IF there's no truth to 9/11, Bush's elections, his invasion of Iraq, Afghanistan and OBL going all of this, etc. has it hurt anyone knowing that all this could be a possibility??? NO, but it does make people aware that this could be true. Just the simple fact that you reject the POSSBILITY that it could be true, makes it so easy for people within a government to scam and fear monger the people of the country or the world. If you go to the website of www.cooperativeresearch.org you can read about the warnings that the US govt got about 9/11 and ignored. This website has documented evidence of this and Tenet himself said he tried to warn them and other did too, from a year to weeks before. Quote
Riverwind Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 Sorry to hi-jack a thread, but why is it that the left has so many conspiracy theories? The right has its own conspiracy theories. The one about Osama establishing a new Caliphate is a real knee-slapper. Or the one about Saddam Hussain and WMDs. Quote To fly a plane, you need both a left wing and a right wing.

sharkman Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 This just in: Rosie will not be completing her contract with The View. She has asked for a leave of absense for the last 3 weeks, and after her latest performance, the show was only too happy to give it to her. What is it with this woman and temper tantrums? After her last appearance, she trashed her dressing room and her writer was found writing moustaches on elizabeth pictures in the hall. Good riddance, maybe they can get some balance on that show now. Quote
betsy Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 I never understood why Elizabeth was pick as the co host because for one she has a very high pitched voice, she craves to be the center of attention with the stars on the show and she talks too fast at times. I saw the View only I think three time max, and quite frankly when I listened to all 4 anchorwomen together, it made me wonder why they've picked to include Rosie. Sure she can talk, but one can put a point across without being crass, vulgar and abrasive. In those few times I've watched it, I sensed the other three...especially Walter, seeming uncomfortable around her. I had the impression that they're trying to have a show that is above trashy....but unfortunately, they had to endure Rosie since she obviously pulls some audience. Oh, and that segment when they had Brolin (Streisand's husband), Rosie was practically sickening in her gushing adoration and worship of la Streisand (oh Rosie got to sleep on Streisand's side of the bed when she stayed in her house in Florida). Whooopeeeee! Quote
Riverwind Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 Not the same, Saddam used such weapons on the kurds and In the Iran war. Osama built a an organization to carry out attacks years before 9/11. Therefore both of your references are not the figment of imagination. The 'evidence' for WMDs is no more substantive that the evidence for a controlled demolition of the WTC towers. Bush and the 9/11 truthies both made a case by cherry picking 'evidence' that supports their case and ignoring the overwhelming majority of evidence that contradicts it. There is little difference between a truthie and a someone who believes that Saddam had WMDs in 2003.The argument that Osama must be stopped because he might establish a Caliphate in the Middle East is an absolute fantasy on par with the idea that energy beams took out the towers. Yet many right types accept it as truth. Quote To fly a plane, you need both a left wing and a right wing.
sharkman Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 , but why is it that the left has so many conspiracy theories? I know they are not exactly alone, but they do seem to have more... If you'll notice riverwind, I am also saying the right has its conspiracy theories, the above is in my original comments. However, the left is teaming with them. I've never heard this caliphate theory, but in regards to Saddam, you seem to deny that he had them and used them. Perhaps that is another theory from the left, I don't know. Quote
Riverwind Posted May 26, 2007 Report Posted May 26, 2007 If you'll notice riverwind, I am also saying the right has its conspiracy theories, the above is in my original comments. However, the left is teaming with them.Hardly. Right wing types have just done a better job of making their conspiracy theories sound reasonable. I've never heard this caliphate theory, but in regards to Saddam, you seem to deny that he had them and used them. Perhaps that is another theory from the left, I don't know. There was no conclusive evidence that Saddam still had WMDs in 2003. The 'evidence' that Bush used to justify the war in 2003 was no better than the 'evidence' that truthies claim regarding a controlled demolition. Quote To fly a plane, you need both a left wing and a right wing.

The 'evidence' that Bush used to justify the war in 2003 was no better than the 'evidence' that truthies claim regarding a controlled demolition. Nor did there need to be....no conclusive evidence that he didn't have them either. The world cried out for MORE INSPECTIONS! The possibility of WMD is all that was needed for the pretext to war and continuation of US/UK foreign policy. Comparison to WTC demolition theories is a logical fallacy. JerrySeinfeld Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 First of all I can't stand the View. But it's like a train wreck - sometimes I can't look away. What exactly is the value in watching four blowhard hens pecking about this topic or that. It's the ultimate housewife show - then all the real lif housewives can get together after the show over tea and crumpets to talk about all the same topics ad nauseum. But then again - I suppose that's what we're doing here Second, Rosie is an obnoctious fat lesbian. That is not a derogutory term. It's is just plain fact. In fact - I think I heard her refer to herslef that way once. She needs to be off air - forever. Not just because of her politics, but because she is a blowhard domineering shout-at-the-top-of-my-lungs type of debator who's most effective debate tactic is to shout louder than everyone else, which may have worked for her in grade 3 but since then you'd think she'd grow up. If she was a hot, thin big-breasted blonde lesbian with terribly on-thought-out left wing politics and a pleasant demeanor, well...that would be another story entirely. It's not her politics that make me sick. It's her utterly unattractive personality wrapped up in an utterly unattractive outer shell. Good riddance (ugh). Quote
noahbody Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 It's not her politics that make me sick. It's her utterly unattractive personality wrapped up in an utterly unattractive outer shell. She's a lot more Fred Flintstone than Betty Rubble. Quote
Drea Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 While I don't like Rosie personally -- I do like her message. Its unfortunate that so many people base their opinion of her message on her looks. She is loud and boorish and many "regular" (meaning non-freaked-out-conspiracy-theorists) people are turned off of her message by her attitude. She needs to tone it down so people will be able to relate to her message rather than attacking her for being a loud, bitchy, fat, disgusting feminazi. Quote ...jealous much? Booga Booga! Hee Hee Hee
betsy Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 In those few times I've watched it, I sensed the other three...especially Walter, seeming uncomfortable around her. I had the impression that they're trying to have a show that is above trashy....but unfortunately, they had to endure Rosie since she obviously pulls some audience. Just saw a short interview with Rosie on that Hollywood gossip show (can't remember the name of the show...Insider?) Well she's saying that "they (the other three) made her feel like the "adopted" one." So, yup....I guess the other three were indeed trying to endure her. Rosie belongs in the same class as Geraldo...me think. Except Geraldo seem to have a nicer personality. Quote
GostHacked Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Sharkman Again I must point out that Saddam did not have much, IF any WMDs those few years leading up to the Iraq invasion in 2003. Even the Bush Administration retracted those statements recennty. So who'c conspiracy is it? I know you are smarter than that, and have a good memory. So you should be able to come to the conclusions most of the 'loony left' has. It is not looney, and the facts are there for you to look at. But it is how it is presented that obscures the statement. Getting Yellow cake from Niger. Fake. Aluminum tubes. Fake Riverwind There was no conclusive evidence that Saddam still had WMDs in 2003. The 'evidence' that Bush used to justify the war in 2003 was no better than the 'evidence' that truthies claim regarding a controlled demolition. Exactly. Now here is one thing I will point out and it would be hard to argue against. The Lefist theories are about big corrupt all wanting control government. The Rightist theories are, terrists wanna kill us be cause they hate our freedoms. Ron Paul said it best. '..because we have been over there.' Quote
Shakeyhands Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Good riddance, maybe they can get some balance on that show now. How do you mean? I thought Rosie was the balance for Elisabeth, no? Quote "They muddy the water, to make it seem deep." - Friedrich Nietzsche
