And he hadn't even lived in Canada for ten years. His wife and kids all lived and worked in the US at some point, some are still there. He had just finished sending Brookfield's HQ to the US and then got caught lying about it. Or, according to the CBC, he was "accused of" lying about it, even though they knew 100% that he lied about it.

"Mark Carney is so worldly 😍"

You could show me 100% proof that everyone in the CBC was involved in a pedophile ring, they can even go to Iran and shoot at protesters if they want to, and it wouldn't make a difference to me personally. I couldn't possibly think any less of them than I already do.

Please, Liberal supporters who agree with creating a New World order with China - Watch this video.

It features committee testimony from Michael Kovrig (one of the Michaels imprisoned and held by China) and a breakdown of what inviting China into their economy has done to other countries.

Yeah is that or before you factor in that over half of US generation are from fossil fuel?

What the hell is that supposed to mean?  The cite was straightforward...

Clean and renewable energy investment and adoption is growing globally, which includes the US.  Your demented fossil fuel champion is only a small blip in the grand scheme of things, so enjoy inhaling the exhaust fumes while you can.

Your right Harper is or was part of the problem, But don't pretend this was all his doing.....the liberals have had a much longer term in office to screw things up to the point we have today.....but here is the rub, your man Justin had 10 plus years to improve upon harpers record and he did not even try....Carney who has only a year at the wheel has decided to bend them over another table and invite in Chinese cars to further complicate the whole issue....and after Justin we are just suppose to trust Carney because you guys think he is the man....liberal voters kinda suck at picking "The man"

Try losing the liberal stuff...  Carney clearly isn't Trudeau regardless of how you want to spin it.  Hindsight is great... if we all had that luxury we'd be as informed and wealthy beyond our wildest dreams.  The fact is that investment in our auto industry took a beating during Harper's term and has continued to trend downwards. That's fact.

Other than caving to Trump's demand to bend over and saying everything is the liberals fault, I'm not sure what your strategy is.  Anyone without a backbone can cry uncle and give away the farm, but that's not why we elected this government.

Has @robosmith told you about cow farts yet? I really want to call out this hypocritical environmental green push. If you want to save money because electric car are cheaper to operate and potentially manufacture then fine. But don't be dishonest.

Not yet, but I watched 'Game Changers' a number of years ago that touched on it.

You don't honestly believe that fossil fuels are the future do you... and I mean even the short term future.

I believe that everything has its place. Like a tool. You’re not going to ever get rid of the need for petrol chemicals that are the feed stock in most manufacturing and chemical industries.

While renewable are technically cheaper to operate since fuel is free, the upfront cost to produce a solar PV and wind farm are all up front. In a world with high borrowing costs it may not make sense from a project financing standpoint. a natural gas plant cost 1/3 up front build cost and the rest are fuel cost for the life of the plant. Maintenance is a wash between these option. The cheapest long term was and is nuclear but has the highest upfront construction cost. So what tool makes sense ?

You need to take your red hat off when you think about these things...

Spin it anyway you want to but it's not going to change the fact that global and US investment in clean and renewable energy has and continues to be double that of conventional energy with $2.3 trillion invested last year.  Does the investment direction give you any clues as to what the future of energy is?  If not, your red hat is too tight.

I dunno about calling it "slave labour". It's more like "negotiations".

The Uyghurs used terrorist attacks - they killed Chinese citizens with machetes - to try to force the Gov't of China to give them sovereignty over the Xinjiang region, and vowed to commit more attacks until they got their way.

China's counter-offer was "A fortified compound where no non-muslims could live with them, 24/7 security, endless job opportunities, and sterility". It's a mix of Sharia Law and Shangri-La.

I think they just confused sterility with serenity so they accepted the offer. Or something like that.

Can't,... there is just to much damage to forgive, it is now my p[purpose in life to remind all those that voted liberal that your choices just suck huge sh!t sandwich...

I've already agreed with you Harper did the auto industry no favors.....BUUUUTTTT neither did the liberals...Now you have a point if the liberals at least tried BUT they did not...

Carney and his crew have been lying to you when they say they have been negotiating....the US side says there has been not negotiating since oct 2025...and as much as i'd like to blame this on the NDP, this is the liberals fault...Carny stood up and said HE is the man to handle trump...He is the man to get us a deal....He is just now assembling another dream team  trade deal team....what happened to the one we already had....

Telling trump he is the problem over and over again on international stages is not a good negotiating tactic...unless you don't want a deal, we are losing thousands of jobs and with many more lining up to be canceled....Still no deal....if not the liberals fault then whos...

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

Tell that to the owners of the San Onofre Nuclear Generating station.

They paid big time to replace the cooling pipes only to find the new ones were DEFECTIVE and then had to SHUT IT DOWN permanently.

AKA MAINTENANCE is NOT CHEAP and neither is SCRAPPING a reactor core. AKA BILLIONS in decommissioning costs. Now everyone KNOWS you're not an expert on the costs of nuclear generating plants. LMAO

Dangit, robo. I had such high hopes for you. I thought that this would be your one area to shine, seeing as you live in a world of BS with your head up your ass, but the fact is that just because you prefer cows' burps, doesn't mean that their farts don't contain methane as well.

You realize those designs have absolutely nothing to do with modern modular nuclear reactor styles right?

You're pointing at ancient technology and trying to claim that's why we shouldn't use modern technology today

It's nobody's fault....it's called negotiating.

If they were getting what they wanted and we were getting what we wanted there would be a signed agreement, which isn't worth the paper it's written on anyway with Trump's 'word'.  You conveniently forget that the 25% and 50% tariffs put on some of our manufacturing sectors go against the 'agreement' we supposedly had/have because of Trump.  But you think we should turtle...  Not complicated AG... we don't agree to any deal unless it's in our best interests.

No it's somebody's fault.

Successful negotiating is in the arts a finding a way to work with the person you're negotiating. Carney completely blew his position and now he's got nothing to negotiate with and he's handled it badly so as a result america feels that they're going to get what they want and there's no need to negotiate.

Which is exactly what I said was going to happen last year. Now the question is is whether they'll be a Cusma at all

CUSMA was effectively rendered moot with fentanyl tariffs and a trade war.

From a person who has likely never negotiated anything other than extra ketchup for his McHappy meal, tell me why Trump isn't losing by using your analogy.  I'm sure you won't because of your head being up Trump's áss, and your typical hope for Carney/Canada failure, but curious why you think only one guy 'has lost' when a deal hasn't been agreed to by either.

Still waiting for the affordability links....

That was beyond ridiculous. It's saving our butat the moment and it's necessary moving forward or we're going to be in real trouble I'm Fentanyl was just an excuse and we all know that. And not even excuse he can keep up.

No, successful negotiation has nothing to do with kissing ass. As carney has learned, he thinks like you do and that negotiating is all about kissing ass. He gave Donald everything and Donald gave him more tariffs and headaches. It didn't work

Which makes him a failure at negotiating and you a failure at negotiating. The only difference is you didn't pass yourself off as a good negotiator
