Toronto’s GDP is bigger than Alberta’s.

So tell us….  Where is the “economic driver of Canada”?

So what exactly does Toronto produce?  What is their GDProduct?

Treebeard is right...

"The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is Canada's economic engine, with a GDP estimated around

CA$522 billion (2022) to over $430 billion for the city proper (2020), representing approximately 20% of Canada's total GDP"

"

Alberta's economy is showing strong growth, with nominal GDP projected to have risen by 4.8% to 5.3% in 2024, following a robust performance in 2023

. GDP at basic prices reached approximately $352.1B in 2024"

Self-important paper shufflers . . .  the rest of the country snickers.

So how does it have a larger GDP than all of Alberta if it’s just paper shufflers?

Are you denying reality and facts because they don’t fit your narrative?

Again, what does Toronto produce?

"Toronto is Canada's premier economic hub, producing a diverse mix of goods and services including

financial services, advanced technology, film/television, and manufactured goods like food products, pharmaceuticals, and automotive parts. It is a global hub for tech, AI, and green energy, while supporting a massive film industry and serving as a major North American financial cente"

It seems like you look down on professions that actually add value.

But I get it... Ditch diggers have clean souls right?

........odd how a Province advocating for  independence, represented in Parliament by separatists, endorses language laws and shuns the so-called Constitution unless it suits, seems to have the power to make any Federal government pi$$ it's pants.

Gentlemen it is not so much about money as it is POWER!

This is true. Its also true that were Alberta to separate, they could make a good go at it financially.

The economic hub of Canada is Toronto. Been here close to 30 years. Im retiring and leaving. Not back to Cowtown though.

Toronto has quickly become a shithole. One o' my boys thinks he needs to be a cop here...I dont like the idea and hope some harmless small town takes him.

The gangs here send kids out to rob and mug, because they're juvies. Slime that they are. Shootings and knifings nightly. Bed-bugs in the subway. The roadways are a mess. Property taxes are rising to stupid levels. They elected a woman who years ago, scammed welfare with her commie hubbie, Layton. The woman can hardly speak English.

Toronto is full of stupid people. Socialists. Tweenkies. They've turned Toronto into a pit.

Presumably if they separated it wouldn't be because they didn't want to make a go of it. 🤔

This is just a big long juicy plaint ...

Toronto is cited as the sixth safest major city in the world and tops in North America.

But your post is about you letting your feelings out, so just keep doing that..

I respect a good plaint 😥

Concur.

Last year had make a visit to St. Mikes hospital for a checkup. Parking was $30 (if you could find any).

Roadworks everywhere, took 40 minutes to drive 1/2 kilometer, potholes like Marianas Trench, no one could speak English.

Total shithole. What more can you expect from a Liberal wasteland.

Wellllll, maybe not so much...much of the land the  money comes from belongs to the indigenous and they are very much against separation.

"Oil sands development in Alberta significantly impacts Indigenous lands, particularly within the

Athabasca, Cold Lake, and Peace River regions, which fall under Treaty 8 territory. While major energy companies (such as Imperial Oil, Suncor, and Cenovus) operate on these lands—sometimes in partnership with local communities—these projects have resulted in, and continue to cause, substantial environmental, health, and cultural challenges for First Nations and Métis communities"

"The entire province is covered by 3 treaty areas (Treaties 6, 7, and 8),"

"Almost all of Alberta is covered by traditional, unceded, or treaty territory"

"The three largest reserves in Canada are located in Alberta (Treaty 7), including the Blood No. 148, Siksika No. 146, and Piikani."

Hmmm, parking in any hospital in Canada is outrageous.

Potholed roads are just a way of life, especially in Ontario :)

I visit Vancouver area frequently...it takes forever to get anywhere and hopefully you don't need to get into the city in the morning or out of it in the afternoon LOL

Oh and I am not a fan of the GTA

What a great accomplishment. Toronto is sixth safest among all North American shitholes. We'll done.

No hospital parking, nearest is a 15 minute walk and always full after 8am.

Cost me a new front tire and a 6 month fight with City of Toronto for reimbursement.
