Manufacturing-Consent_Final.pdf

From the report:

The report details how the Impact and Innovation Unit (IIU) in Ottawa is increasingly using sophisticated behavioural psychology, such as “nudge theory,” and other message-testing tools to influence the behaviour of Canadians.

Modelled after the United Kingdom’s Behavioural Insights Team, the IIU was originally presented as an innocuous “innovation hub.” In practice, the report argues, it has become a mechanism for engineering public opinion to support government priorities.

With the arrival of Covid, the report explains, the IIU’s role expanded dramatically. Internal government documents reveal how the IIU worked alongside the Public Health Agency of Canada to test and design a national communications strategy aimed at increasing compliance with federal vaccination and other public health directives.

Among these strategies, the government tested fictitious news reports on thousands of Canadians to see how different emotional triggers would help reduce public anxiety about emerging reports of adverse events following immunization. These tactics were designed to help achieve at least 70 percent vaccination uptake, the target officials associated with reaching “herd immunity.”

IIU techniques included emotional framing—using fear, reassurance, or urgency to influence compliance with policies such as lockdowns, mask mandates, and vaccine requirements. The government also used message manipulation by emphasizing or omitting details to shape how Canadians interpreted adverse events after taking the Covid vaccine to make them appear less serious.

The report further explains that the government adopted its core vaccine message—“safe and effective”—before conclusive clinical or real-world data even existed. The government then continued promoting that message despite early reports of adverse reactions to the injections.

The report urges:

  1. Parliamentary oversight of all behavioural science uses within federal departments, ensuring elected representatives retain oversight of national policy.
  2. Public disclosure of all behavioural research conducted with taxpayer funds, creating transparency of government influence on Canadians’ beliefs and decisions.
  3. Independent ethical review of any behavioural interventions affecting public opinion or individual autonomy, ensuring accountability and informed consent.

This did not end with covid.  It continues today, I firmly believe we saw it in the last election when the Liberal party actually convinced a slim majority of Canadians that the Americans were going to invade us, and that Carney was our only hope.

Polling prior to the election told the Libs that a lot of Canadians were fearful of Trump, so they played on that, hyped it up and that's all the MSM media talked about.

FYI - The US Biden administration paid a PR firm (not a public health firm) nearly $1 billion dollars to psychologically manipulate the US public during covid.

The UK gov't did the same thing.

Why would they need PR departments and psychological manipulation if it were a real pandemic?

Its not a new tactic. The establishment can form public opinion. And they do.

Hell in the states the Democrats are telling the military to defy orders.

The mob is a blank slate. The Libbies are willing to lie and cheat way more than Conservatives are.

But...the silver lining is...the Democrat front runner is Gavin.

Because the numbers of real idióts was alarming.

It was painfully obvious within the first couple of weeks of the pandemic that a sizable percentage of the population was too gaslit to think straight without hurting themselves and others in the process.

The JCCF is the product of disbarred lawyer, John Carpay. In another issue, he actually compared the LGBT flag to the Nazi swastika. His nutty behaviour hardly lends credibility to his report.

It was President Trump who convinced Canadians that the Americans are going to invade us. He has said it many times. We do not need the Liberals to convince us of that threat.

No but It's clever, it works and it strikes me as being a bit circular once deployed.

I've completely changed my opinion on the usefulness of it and the NS wolf hoax was the turning point. It illustrated what could be accomplished... even though it was accomplished by accident. Here's a recap of it for those interested: The Big Bad Wolf

It seems that the magic lies in inducing an opinion that's strong enough to last. Once formed, people have a hard time walking it back even when faced with proof that runs contrary to the foundational position they were nudged into accepting.

The funny part (for me anyway) is that even if someone points it out and sarcastically says "ya know, there are courses in such things," the people who the courses are designed to influence become the very ones who ridicule the idea that deliberate influencing is even afoot. Maybe that's why it works and maybe that's why there really are courses in such things.

The oddest part of this to me is....just look at this thread and how many people are perfectly okay with being brainwashed by their government to believe things that aren't true.

OMGawd

You're one of "those".

You actually believe the Americans are going to invade us 🙄

The only thing that would make the Americans invade us, is if we continue to allow China free reign in Canada.  The Americans do not want to live next to a Chinese state.

But you've been convinced that Canada would be better as a CCP state than if the Americans came in to save us from communism.

I like how you quickly googled John Carpay, but have no fuquing clue what actually happened with him and zero desire to go beyond what the MSM wants you to know.

People like you should be barred from voting - you're too easily manipulated.

The lack of critical thinking on display is outstanding.

"Foreign governments"......like China?  Is Hardner completely unaware of what China is doing in Canada?  Or just doesn't give a rip?

Actually, it's come out that the whole "Americans are going to invade and Carney is our only hope" narrative was started by the Chinese on WhatsApp.  The video Doug Ford used (the Regan/tariff one) was originally produced by the Chinese. and released in Canada.

Have you ever seriously wondered WHY the Chinese want the Liberals in power so bad?

So you figure when I suggest elected officials wear cameras it's only to gas-light you?

I mean, I was suggesting this 25 years ago in forums that preceded this one and letters to editors long before I ever met you.

And EVERY SINGLE TIME I did you say I was lying? That's some kind of special denial you're engaged in. You've brainwashed yourself.

In this topic, like every topic that addresses some kind of gov't malfeasance or corruption, you defend the corruption and poo-poo any suggested solutions to it.

Nope, I simply mock your allegations of malfeasance and corruption because your evidence for it is so useless. You allege government/corporate/media malfeasance and corruption at scales that are global in nature and that span years if not decades in planning and execution.

As for your solution to all this you suggest an x on a ballot every 4-5 years. Seriously? LMAO!

Compare the effectiveness of your suggestion to the suggestion we monitor government decision making as it's happening with human observers acting as process guardians...with cameras and microphones...so they can witness, record and report what they see and hear to us.

I started off advocating for this way back in the day when I was subject to government/bureaucratic decisions surrounding resource allocations that affect or impact the opportunities for people to make a living. It was during COVID however that I decided the real value of deep transparency would be to dispel the conspiratorial nonsense and misinformation that's polluted so many minds and especially in a way that sidesteps the media.  Sure, there's corruption and malfeasance, there's no doubt about it, but I also doubt its as bad as you think which is SO bad in your mind it's rendered you incapable of thinking straight about anything.

BTW, ever heard of this guy?

A Republican in the Illinois General Assembly says all elected officials in the state should be required to wear body cameras while conducting government business.

Rep. John Cabello of Machesney Park tells the Register Star in Rockford the intent of the bill he introduced is to reduce corruption at the state and local levels.

https://www.wkms.org/government-politics/2019-02-22/lawmaker-proposes-bodycam-requirement-for-elected-officials

It's only a matter of time. That said, I suspect you'll soon be defending politicians from transparency and monitoring the way people piped up against police wearing body-cams.

There'll probably be a few right-wingers along shortly to provide you with your opinion on the topic.

Yeah, no shit.

White people are being conditioned to unilaterally disarm and submit to a socially engineered suicide across Western societies. This will inevitably turn to genocide as their histories, cultures, and identities are actively marginalized and eradicated.

Liberal institutions and levers of culture have been pushing insane levels of anti-White guilted propaganda intending to indoctrinate generations of young White girls and boys for decades now while their nations are flooded with radical third world demographic change and complete reckless disregard.

They've tanked our birthrates, split the White vote down gender lines while normalizing ethnic voting blocks for all non-Whites. Classic divide & conquer.

Just look at our f'n commercials. We have a 5% Black population, but you'd think they were the majority here. Pretty much every other couple shown is Black guy, White girl. Absolute propaganda.

It's actually not my allegation.  I did provide the link to the subject matter.

My mistake, I thought we could all pretty much agree that it's not the government's job to lie, mislead or take advantage of the public.  It's their job to be transparent so the public can make good decisions.

If you disagree with this, and apparently you do strongly disagree, then no wonder Canada is in the state it is.

I certainly do agree with this. You'll still say bullshit though because you can't think straight.

Yes, that's what I'm saying.

After Trudeau told Trump that we couldn't pay for our NATO obligations and that tariffs would crash our economy, Trump said we SHOULD just become the 51st state and we wouldn't have to worry about it.  Then he kept saying "You should just become the 51st state" to poke us and you all lit your hair on fire and voted in the SAME FUQUING LIBERAL PARTY.

Do you see the difference between what was said there and "We are definitely going to invade Canada and take you over."?

I'm assuming this is over your head - WHOOSH! - and you don't (or won't) see the difference because you're still repeating the same MSM lies and spin from March/April last year, even though it's been totally debunked.

Do you understand the difference between the words "would" and "should"?  I can explain it to you, if you need.

If there is ever a "I FELL FOR IT AGAIN" award, the stupid boomers in Canada would win, for sure.

Von Papen and Schleicher convinced President Hindenburg of the same thing. They thought Hitler didn't really mean all the stupid things he was saying and that they could control Him.

President Trump may be dishonest, but he is trying to do all the things he said he wanted to do. He said he wanted to seize Greenland and Panama, and would use economic force to take over Canada.

We need to be prepared in case he means it. The US has tried to invade us twice before.
