Yeah, it shows.

Fair comment, but from everything I have seen over the last 3/4 of a century NOBODY is surprised or unaware of something as widespread as this must have been within Epstein's very wide circle.

Take for example: the very special treatment that Ghislaine Maxwell is receiving while incarcerated.  When she has the audacity to reach out publicly to the Whitehouse looking for a pardon - you should know damn well she has something on the orange man.  When he went after the BBC for their obvious fake news he opened the floodgates for the entire left wing media (led by BBC and NYT) to go for the jugular.

The whole mess makes me wonder how much the Royal welcome from elephant ears is in some way related to their embarassment over Andrew's association with Epstein and some effort to keep it all under wraps.

There we have it: Randy Andy can be arrested for speaking out of turn about trade but just has to move from one palace to another for decades of child sexual abuse.

I'm sure there's a bit of that but it probably has more to do with the same bemused sense the entire 1% seems to feel - that the little people actually think anything they do is their business.

I said now watch what you say they'll be calling you a radical,
a liberal, oh fanatical criminal

This foreign scandal would have nothing to do with us if we’d grown up and created an elected ceremonial head of state resident in this country. What an embarrassing anachronism. At this rate the Brits will abandon their ridiculous monarchy before we do! What happens then? Can we declare that Charlie is our king in perpetuity and leave him in charge? It would be a very Canadian solution and would make little difference to the number of visits from our head of state. The coins and notes etc. would never have to change either.

We could belong to the Commonwealth without the king as head of state.

Yes. Canada should grow up, ditch the Monarchy, GG should be Aboriginal.

What would we put on the obverse of coins if we got rid of the Monerchy?

I'm sure we could find a symbol - animal, tree, Parliament bldg...

Few remember Andrew as the courageous chopper pilot during the Falklands War, he was the Royal's darling in those days.

As far as Ghislaine goes, Trump will pardon her at the end of   his term..........if she is still alive.

This woman has all the answers - politically she's akin to the Sword of Damocles - hanging over the heads of the extremely rich and powerful - she's spouted BS to now but I'm sure she could confirm anything coming out her mouth that was incriminating.

Raises the question of what did Epstein threaten to disclose before he hanged himself?

1: Yes, he will.

2: Hanged himself?

Strongly disagree.

It s not a side point nor unrelated.

I assume you're referring to some point in history.  I would say all of history about the monarchy and how we came to the system we have today is fascinating.  Since there are many safeguards we are better off than most countries.  I would say leave well enough alone.  We have a good system.  It's not perfect.  Nothing is in this corrupt world,  but we are far better off than most countries.

If Charles had died before, this guy Andrew could now be on our money.

He could be our Head of State.

Doubtful!   He has been stripped of much of his status and is losing all along.  I doubt he would qualify.  You are grasping for straws.  It is easy to make up hypothetical claims, but they don't exist and never did

At least the Brits take it seriously.

If only they'd take the mass grooming, rape, and torture of their own girls at the hands of Muslim rape gangs seriously. But no, they let that go on for decades lest they cause offense to the Pakistani community and be called the 'R' word. These girls, hundreds of thousands of them, some as young as 10, were far younger than Epstein's girls, beaten, tortured, and trafficked among dozens of men for decades.

It's still going on, and they're still dodging and weaving and trying to hide and do nothing about it.

The BBC is having a field day catching Andrew with his long list of lies, deceit and perversions - that he clearly shared with a fair number of very high profile wealthy people.  What I never hear from them is one big question:   if the young lady at the center of the current controversy claims to have been sexually abused on 3 separate occasions by Andrew (and Epstein), why did she come back after the first and again after the second encounter?????

Not saying anything the Andrew, Epstein and the host of their ilk have done, but the credibility of the plaintiff is IMHO highly in question.  Seems more about the money than the morals.

The plaintiff was a whore. Simple as that. Like the other girls, she went to the island willingly and stayed willingly. They traded access to their bodies for access to the high life of fancy living in mansions with swimming pools and an endless supply of fine cooking, fine liquor and probably drugs. Not to mention access to celebrities. They were not forced to stay, nor beaten, nor threatened (except with being told they'd have to leave). They were not seduced by a lothario who convinced them he loved them. It was all transactional.

And then, years later, lawyers found them and convinced them there'd be a big payoff for them if they woudl act sad and pitiful and testify that they were 'abused'. But her story has changed again and again to make her seem more pitiful. And her last book, pushed as nonfiction, was in fact, writen as fiction and didn't sell, so slightly altered and called 'nonfiction'. In the nonfiction version, her encounters with everyone were much worse than in the fiction version. This is called 'giving your audience what they want'.

Andrew  Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew served as a chopper pilot during the Falklands War  (1982). His role included acting as a decoy against the (then) revolutionary Exocet , ship killing missiles.  His actions showcased his bravery and dedication to the RN. Despite the controversies that followed, this guys military service remains a significant part of his legacy.
