Nonsense. First off, who says that they don't have enough with the handful that are leaving? You have to provide evidence of that you haven't. One country might have a surplus of carpenters and we have a desperate need, so how is that robbing them of critical people?

Second off they may find it easier to adapt. Even if they don't have enough carpenters maybe they've got excellent carpenter schools and can turn them out faster than we can and it won't impact them significantly.

Thoroughly maybe they're fleeing oppression. Are many people who come to Canada because they're risk at home, why shouldn't we allow those ones to come in if they're qualified and can give us an advantage if they're just going to be abused if they stay where they are?

Canada looks at immigration numbers every year in consultation with provinces and business. Less people in our economy means more pressure on our social programs with the lesser taxation. Canada needs to allow as many immigrants as the data results say.  Whether you agree or not is irrelevant because it needs to happen.
