Yes,  most Prime Ministers only last for a couple terms and are defeated after about tens years.  That is normal in Canada.

So Harper served a normal length of time and no scandal forced him out.  People just seem to want a change after about ten years and the young Trudeau came along and many women adored.  I believe many voted for him because they thought he was a young, good-looking, charismatic guy and of course he had the popular name, Trudeau, especially in Quebec, central Canada and the maritimes.  Of course he promised everything including legalizing Marijuana, which of course brought out many of the young pot smokers.

Primary health care is an issue world wide, not just Canada.

But seriously 9 out of 10? Maybe where you live but here they're putting the finishing touches on our brand new expanded medical center. I met what appears will be my forever GP a few months ago, she has a nose ring and loves to surf, seems to be living the dream too. And there's another moving to town as well and apparently they'll also be keeping the nurse practitioners they brought in the last couple years.

Meanwhile my medical team has kept close tabs on my cancer (3.5 years free now so far 👍) and the alien in my chest seems to have gone back into hibernation. A couple of my numbers actually went back closer to normal. I'm getting better...probably within the margin of error I know but I'll take it!

Maybe you recall my mentioning I was diagnosed, operated on and started heading down Recovery Road from cancer right in the middle of COVID.

The system seems to be working great in my case, what can I say? It's just not and hasn't been anywhere near as bad as so many righties tell me. And I've been known to be pretty pessimistic.

Retiring still doesn't make sense either, things just keep getting better. My income and revenues appear to up about 10% this year over last...just like last years was...who should I blame for that? The bastards.

I don't know, maybe you just live closer to the business end of the shit hole.

Plus, there's this, which shows that less than a quarter of Canadians could get quick access to their doctor - presuming they had one given 17% don't have and can't get a family doctor. That's the lowest of all countries studied, btw, certainly lower than in the US.

Added to that is the long wait times to see specialists, averaging 30 weeks in Canada. Much longer than in the US. 

All in all, you can get faster access to health care in the US than in Canada.
