A subsequent report, first published by NBC News on Tuesday, identified 510 “credible reports” of abuse inside Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention centers, federal prisons, local jails and military bases, including Guantanamo Bay, and on deportation flights.

“Credibly reported or confirmed events to date include deaths in custody, physical and sexual abuse, mistreatment of pregnant women, mistreatment of children, inadequate medical care, overcrowding and unsanitary living conditions, inadequate food or water, exposure to extreme temperatures, denial of access to attorneys, and family separations,” according to the report.

Those events include 41 allegations of physical or sexual abuse, including an alleged incident in El Paso where a detainee was “slammed against the ground, handcuffed, and taken outside” for “stepping out of line in the dining hall.”

More than 100 human rights abuses discovered in immigration detention since Trump took office, senate probe says

This report likely only reveals a small fraction of the abuse going on.  People are likely afraid to report abuse or don't have the means to report it.

We actually do not care. The quicker they leave our country the shorter their torture. They had every opportunity to get a free one way plane ticket and 1000$ in their pocket.

It’s a detention center not a five star hotel.
and stop referring to sleeping in the floor as torture. It’s a luxury compared to what our soldiers deployed gets.

510 credible cases out of hundreds of thousands...

The only thing commonly abused here is your definition of words like common.

Don't forget, they drfine words by the emotions the word elicits. In this case, credible gives them hope that it is true so they feel good and believe it because they desperately want it to be true.

Meanwhile, credible actually means "filed a report."

Hell, the report reads like a bad "your mama" joke. ICE detentions is so bad, I had a miscarriage...twice!"

Another pregnant woman told Rep. Ayana Pressley (D-MA) that she miscarried twice while in a DHS facility

And, of course, what the reporter doesn't tell you is that many of those "credible reports" are for inmates to inmate sexual abuse and attacks and this whole report was created by a Democrat who failed to include any actual cases, names or incident reports.

Lastly, a big part of the argument why these people should be allowed to stay in America and be free is that they are too violent to lock up.

Don't you think that if I were wrong that I would know it?

Best way to avoid abuse is to not break into the country.

Plus they already had their chance to leave, so f*ck 'em.

The standard for forced incarceration is completely different from VOLUNTARY MILITARY SERVICE, because there IS NO REQUIREMENT for the FORMER. AKA it is GRATUITOUS ABUSE. Duh

RELEVANT to what, dumbass? RELEVANT to facilitating criminal behavior? If that's what you're trying to say, then you're preaching to the choir. ;)

A tiny percentage (2%) overstay their VISA but if that happens because of circumstances beyond one's control, such as a medical emergency, it looks like there is no forgiveness;  only real abuse and punishment.

"And of that tiny percentage, many are unintentional – a missed deadline, a cancelled flight, or bureaucratic confusion.

Or, like Thomas – a 35-year-old tech worker from Ireland, who was visiting his girlfriend in the US when he said he suffered a sudden health issue that prevented him from flying. His overstay of just three days landed him in ICE custody, where he spent 100 days in detention in federal facilities, claiming he endured overcrowded conditions and limited medical care.

He was deported and slapped with a 10-year re-entry ban."

The land of the free is now the land of a $15,000 fee

I now see why you’re particularly sensitive to this topic. You’re planning on over staying your VISA as well. No worries, I’ve already told Trump. He’ll have a nice accommodation in Alligator Alcatraz for you.

I'm sorry but NBC news is the news company that was sued successfully for faking video twice to give the impression that something was true when it was absolutely false. These guys have a long history of manufacturing fake evidence to support their media.

I need to see a source that came from somewhere other than NBC before I even gave it the slightest bit of credence given their history

Don't overstay your visa. How hard is that. If you're worried about possible interruptions or something coming up at the last minute then leave early to give yourself extra time.

I'm not happy about his standoff over Ukraine either.

I like that illegal aliens are given choices to voluntarily leave before they go into detention. It makes everything you dipshits say pointless and hollow.

Yeah, this story doesn't add up.

He hurt himself in October, but then says it was too short notice to get an extension and he tried everything he could to get an extension... when his visa was up in December.

Then, he was arrested on a domestic disturbance call where he was charged with false imprisonment of his girlfriend.

So... yeah, guess what, you go to jail. They then find out you are here unlawfully, you stay in jail.

All this happned before Trump was even President.

How is that better, that's just a bunch of random stories that don't actually provide any corroboration at all

And they contradict each other. For example one of the things you posted said that it's 500 alligations then some of your sources say it's 100 allegations etc etc.  In short it's a bunch of unverified claims by people who are not non bias. Nothing seems to verify anything.

If you Google enough you'll find "Proof" that the earth is flat as well.

If an investigation, a real one, determines that there's abuses going on that are unacceptable or are below a level of care that is considered to be the minimum then action should be taken and the appropriate people should be terminated,

That doesn't seem to be happening
