The first link does state that 

"The building was without a permit, like many in Silwan, and stood on land that was not licensed for residential use. The residents were challenging long-standing demolition orders and applying for licensing when diggers arrived at dawn.

The Jerusalem Municipality said the demolition of the building in Silwan was based on a 2014 court order, and that residents were granted extensions for the execution of the order and were offered various options in order to find a solution, but they declined to do so."

In the second link, the man likely isn't a terrorist but the reality is that Israel faces security threats from all directions and they have no choice but to be extremely vigilant with goods and people coming and  going through various checkpoints. There have been attacks on Israel from the West Bank. Of course they will take that very seriously.

The Palestinian Authority is kind of like 'Hamas lite'.

I believe the answers were genuine. On both sides. There must be some on the 'Palestinian' side that would love to have peace but they are likely very few in number. And if they spoke out publicly, they would likely face a swift and violent end courtesy of Hamas.

I really don't think Israel is finished with Gaza............ any sustained pressure, if it is real ............. would be a negotiating tactic. 

An empty stomach is likely the most effective lever you can employ........... more broad effect.  

The Gaza peace plan calls for an immediate ceasefire , the return of all hostages (dead or alive) , prisoner exchanges, the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip , the deployment of the International Stabilization Force, transitional governance under international supervision. 

 Senior Hamas officials have said that Hamas rejected proposed terms of demilitarization. Upon revealing the peace proposal, Trump gave Hamas a deadline of October 5, 2025 to accept. 

oh, yeah ...........Israel isn't done with Gaza.......... or Iran for that matter.

Israel has forcibly removed settlers before in the hope(misguided as it turns out) that it could bring peace.

2005 Disengagement Plan

Thousands of settlers were removed by the Israeli government and military, and the settlements were dismantled.

Where did this act of good faith get them?

As I understand it, back then neither the Jews or Arabs liked this UN decision. The difference was that one side accepted it and tried to make the best of a less than ideal situation. The Arabs responded from the get-go with violence.

Israelis, outnumbered and outgunned, defied all odds and defeated the Arabs. This feud has been played out over and over and over again, the Israelis always win on the battlefield.

And leftists throughout the world always still side with radical Islam against the only nation in the entire region that gives ALL it's people the most rights and freedoms.
