ROFL, this is what @robosmith is on here pushing... I swear, he doesn't read past the headlines and based on how he started this thread, he mindlessly copies anything he sees off social media too...

"The data is not yet peer-reviewed, and researchers said they would need another 10 or more years to confirm to conclusively call it a trend."

Oh if the climate has warmed a bit. That means longer growing seasons and mote food.

We might call that...a good thing.

If you mix eye of toad, ear of bat, teeth stolen from the tooth fairy, sprinkle in some whip of the willow, simmer for twentytwelve hours, strain through a butchers cloth then cast away the doffor.

This recipe should generate enough elec-trickery to lift a rock over the garden gate but beware of the dog.

So you live in castle with a mote. Like every TROLL.

Unfortunately our HURRICANES will be visiting you more often and your wildfires will strike every year.

Plus more Americans will be migrating North.

Dust mote perhaps?  :P

Also i thought trolls lived under bridges?

In any case, he does have a point, thanks for proving you didn't have a counter argument. :)

And they can burn down your, and hundreds of other, houses when they get out of control due to extreme weather events which are increasing DRAMATICALLY.

Obviously you LIKE TO GAMBLE.

Some people are insanely jealous of anyone with imagination or the slightest engineering knowledge.
Pumping water into a reservoir during low usage times and drawing ir during high usage times is a principal they can't figure out. Likewise battery storage and flywheels. These are silly imaginary ideas only fools like Newton, Farady and Edison dream of.

Jesus makes their Samsung Galaxy 24 work.

Due to what extreme weather events? Keep your water reserves full and these things won't be such tragedies.

Where's all the Fireaid money?

Why are Bass and Newsome making it impossible for those who lost their homes, to rebuild? https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/after-75-days-los-angeles-has-issued-four-permits-to-rebuild-houses/

What's wrong with this absent biatch?

Well there's the thing, if what @herbie Was saying was true Then the correct answer would be to adapt. Make sure you have more water on hand, Clear areas around homes to remove the debris which can fuel a fire, look at mandating the installation of fire sprinklers. Look at improving your fire bombing and other response systems.

Even if we stopped all carbon production today around the world the weather is going to be what it's going to be for some time so if all of these severe weather events are inevitable why wouldn't you adapt?

Is that what he's recommending? No. So we can only deduce that he feels that the whole thing is bullshit and all he's doing is virtue Signaling

All the water reserves in LA were full, except for the LOCAL Palisades reserve which was empty FOR MAINTENANCE.

You know that has to happen when it LEAKS, don't you? LMAO

Why is Trump FAILING send the FEMA aid for rebuilding, doofus.

FEMA aid for LA fires lags behind other disasters

Quote

Assistance to eligible survivors has covered an average of about 7% of the damage costs FEMA assessed to their properties so far, less than one third of the proportion covered after the California fires in 2017 or 2018, or the 2023 Hawaii fires.

Eligible survivors of the L.A. fires have gotten an average of around $4,100 in direct FEMA assistance so far — average damage costs assessed by the agency are over $55,000 for those same survivors.

If we keep pumping carbon into the atmosphere with no attempt to reduce it, adapting may not be an option.

But as we've seen attempts to reduce it have no effect. We had a carbon tax for 10 years that we were told would make a dramatic difference and has done absolutely nothing.

And given the fact that most governments aren't that interested it leads me to leave that those who are actually reading the real research aren't as concerned.

I'm happy to see our current tech replaced with more environmentally friendly tech as the tech becomes available. I think that it's something that we have to do over time and we should move forward with a sense of alacrity. But I don't see it as being a crisis and I see it adaptation is the only way to address the issue immediately

Germany unveils liquid metal battery that can store renewable energy for days
As renewable power surges across Europe, one major challenge remains — storing massive amounts of energy for times when the wind isn’t blowing and the sun isn’t shining. Now, engineers in Germany have revealed a groundbreaking liquid metal battery that can store electricity for days without significant energy loss.
Developed by a team at the Fraunhofer Institute, the battery uses molten antimony and sodium separated by a special ceramic membrane. When charged, the metals remain in liquid form at high temperatures, allowing ions to flow efficiently without the wear and tear that plague traditional batteries.
Unlike lithium-ion batteries, which degrade over thousands of charge cycles, this molten metal design shows almost no performance drop even after a decade of simulated use. The result is a storage system ideal for grid-scale deployment, capable of stabilizing entire city networks during cloudy or windless weeks.
The technology also sidesteps some of the geopolitical risks tied to lithium supply chains. Sodium is abundant and cheap, while antimony is more easily sourced than lithium or cobalt. This makes the system not only technically robust but also strategically independent.
The operating temperatures — around 700°C — might sound extreme, but the insulated tanks retain heat so efficiently that the battery can go days without active heating. This low-maintenance design drastically cuts operational costs, making it an attractive option for large energy providers.
With Europe aiming for full carbon neutrality by 2050, this innovation could be the missing link in transitioning from fossil fuels to a stable, all-renewable grid. It’s a glimpse into a future where power outages caused by weather may become a thing of the past.

They're NOT LIES, lDIOT. They are truths YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND.

IF you understood anything, you would know your gratuitous ad hominems MEAN NOTHING.

Of course they're lies.  And you're very easy to understand, you're a pretty basic person. I've had ikea furniture that was harder to figure out that you are.
