At this moment in time I'm not sure even your ass belongs to you. At this moment it seems to be slipping a little out of your grasp. We'll see what the future brings

No fool. Inflation is dropping.

Your 1 month slight jump means it's still lower than before Trump took office. Prices are coming down. And the majoy reason why?

https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/US-Gasoline-Prices-Slide-as-Imports-Surge-and-Summer-Demand-Sputters.html

Fuel prices are dropping under Trump.

I've tried to tell you many times, allow the fuel industry to flourish, and watch the economy take off.

Oh and...you're wrong...yet again Pumpkin.

Nope. 3 months since April and real inflation is still GROWING.

Thus proving YOU wrong AGAIN.

But once those non-TACO tariffs kick in, they will ZOOM.

I can understand why you believe Trump will chicken out. LMAO

That's not really relevant in and of itself. You can't look at one indicator and tell anything.

It makes sense that if trump is applying enough tariff pressure to make an actual difference inflation will rise lately. That's a given. But it's also true that inflation will rise if he is successful in bringing more business to America. You would have to look at that number alongside any increase in GDP as well as any  increase in the average income.

For example in an ideal trump situation where this plan was really successful inflation may very well creep up to 3.5% or even four. But it could be accompanied by a 9% increase in GDP and a 6% increase in average wages. That would still be an outrageous victory where both growth and productivity increased along with real wages faster than inflation meaning Americans were better off. At that point judicious use of taxation and interest rate increases combined would allow inflationary pressures to be kept under control while still allowing the growth to continue and it would be a major win.

On the other hand if it stayed the same and GDP remained at the current 1.5% that's anticipated and wages stagnated then even though the inflation rate was still under control americans would actually be losing ground

You really don't understand this stuff well enough to be able to comment. But even what I just said is a simplistic way of looking at something that you were already oversimplifying.

Until your education levels increase I'm afraid you'll have to sit back and wait for us to let you know what's happening

It's NOT MINE, IGNORAMUS.  Wall Street LEARNED TACO after Trump backtracked on the April tariffs

I clearly understand that Trump is clueless without a plan. Not even he knows what he's doing.

You just don't understand HIS BULLSHIT is completely transient. Making it up as he goes.... 🤮

FoxNews (The most trusted name in news)

"We just completed a massive Deal with Japan, perhaps the largest Deal ever made," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "Japan will invest, at my direction, $550 Billion Dollars into the United States, which will receive 90% of the Profits. This Deal will create Hundreds of Thousands of Jobs — There has never been anything like it."

Trump said Japan will open its country to trade in things like cars, trucks, rice and other agricultural products.

----‐----------------‐----------

In other news, the tariffs that are in place have raised over $100B in revenue. This is what we voted for. This is working.

Looks like this so-called 'deal' may not even be a 'deal'.....

Meanwhile, US-Japan trade deal may already be under pressure, as reports on Friday suggest the two sides disagree on how to split profits from Japan's $550 billion investment into the US.  Trump announced the deal on Tuesday, which includes a 15% tariff on imported goods and a $550 billion Japanese investment. However, the sides do not seem aligned on profit sharing, with Japan seeking a split based on contributions, while the US says it would keep 90%.

Imagine that! A pathological LIAR misrepresenting the terms of a deal....

Maybe the negotiators LIED to Trump, but I doubt that.

The Japanese aren’t suckers, but they do see reality for what it is. There is no version of a deglobalized world where they can have a decent outcome without being part of America’s new global order. The Canadian unfortunately are blinded by pride and haven’t yet figured this out. Being offered the 51st deal is the best offer you could have gotten.
