paxamericana Posted July 11, 2025 Report Posted July 11, 2025 (edited) Did you read the rest of the article or did you want to fly high on copium? the vast majority of those jobs were part time, the agency said Friday, with 47,000 positions added in the private sector. Employment has either remained relatively flat or dropped since January of this year, when the economy added 76,000 new jobs. The wholesale and retail trade industry, as well as health care and social assistance, saw the biggest influx of jobs. Most other industries held steady in the number of people they employed — though the agriculture sector dropped a few thousand jobs. Edited July 11, 2025 by paxamericana 1 Quote

suds Posted July 12, 2025 Report Posted July 12, 2025 (edited) We can thank Trump for one thing.... for finally getting our politicians to get their collective asses in gear. The future for this country at the very least looks a bit more promising. Whether Carney and the Liberals are the ones most capable for this task has yet to be resolved. No, I'm fine with foreign workers coming to do agriculture. I'm NOT fine with them coming to work at Tim Hortons, McDonald's or Burger King. By the way, adding 80k jobs is not much use when we also added 200k immigrants and an unknown number of foreign workers.
