Working-class Americans received a stark warning from President Trump as he celebrated Juneteenth by complaining about the excessive amount of federal holidays. Trump issued a directive Thursday night that declared the country is wasting too much money on closing business and said he has considered axing future celebrations.

Too many non-working holidays in America,' he wrote on Truth Social. 'It is costing our Country $BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to keep all of these businesses closed. The workers don’t want it either!' The president then speculated that the holiday madness could have a negative impact on the country if something isn't done. 'Soon we’ll end up having a holiday for every once working day of the year,' he said. 'It must change if we are going to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

 Juneteenth, also referred to as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, commemorates June 19, 1865, when Union soldiers brought the news of freedom to enslaved Black people in Galveston, Texas. Their freedom came more than two years after President Abraham Lincoln liberated slaves in the Confederacy by signing the Emancipation Proclamation during the Civil War."

Juneteenth is a joke. It's grammatically stupid and it feeds into black fatigue. We already have MLK, black history month, Rosa Parks Day and Emancipation Day. The correct thing to do is roll all of that shit into MLK and call it good.

robowoke wants to erase all traces of white history from the United States. He wants to do this because he was taught to hate himself, first, and then worship blacks as gods. Celebrating the elimination of slavery in the politically charged 2020's is a really stupid idea.

The country's already going through "black fatigue" so enough is enough. What needs to happen is take all things black and roll it into one day like MLK and call it good.

There are a lot of businesses and unions that don't have two stats for Easter, and instead of Good Friday they have a floating holiday which employees can use once a year with sufficient notice and availability.

Some holidays are too important, and can't be moved, while others are kinda meh. We currently honour them, but they are meaningless and could be moved.

Do we really need a holiday on Jan 1? Christmas and Boxing Day are just a week prior. On the 31st just drink, smooch, sing a ditty, and drag your ass back to work on the first, people. Honestly I just sleep through NYE now. 

If Americans need a Juneteenth that's their business, and maybe a lot of African Americans would choose to have that day off, but if everyone takes that day off then businesses will be shut down. If only 10% of Americans use a floating holiday on that day businesses can carry on almost unimpeded.
