Poilievre sounded downright giddy in his speech after he lost.  I think he is ecstatic not to win. He gets a nice vacation. When he’s back he will be in his comfortable spot as opposition leader where he can snarl and just oppose everything.  I’m not even sure he wanted to win!  He’d probably be wondering what the heck to do!

No matter what, he has his pension and will be on the governemtn teat for the rest of his life.  he may be the only person in canada that has been on government welfare for his entire life LOL

The only reason I would begrudge him for his pension is the fact that the Cons campaigned against Singh because of his MP pension.  The hypocrisy of that was so crass.

And the lickspittle Conservatives supporters couldn’t even see the hypocrisy of holding his pension against him while PP and co. accumulate their own.

At least Singh held an actual job before he became a politician, unlike PP.

The guy literally refused to do his job and held on to get his pension. That's quite obvious

But the cons did not campaign against him on that. In fact I don't think they mentioned the NDP hardly at all during their entire campaign. I think they realized the NDP was in trouble and the NDP collapse certainly didn't benefit them

Oh I get it, you were just lying.

The issue isn't having a pension. Many of the NDP have pensions, most government workers have pensions

The issue was that Jaggers sold out his party and his country in order to qualify for his pension. He literally did not do his job in order to get a pension for his job.

If he had Government and won his seat in election and then got his pension nobody would think different of it.

But despite his saying again and again the liberals were horrible and needed to go he held on to get his pension.

Any decent person can see why that is horribly wrong and has nothing to do with who else may have a pension. It speaks to the kind of person you are that you couldn't see that

Well they weren't very reliable conservatives as you say they where, if they let their hate for PP

That's why I called us "previously" reliable...until the old Reform Party losers and the culture-war assclowns took over the Party.

i somehow hope your right about carney, but my gut is saying it is going to the same as under justin....not sure how canadians can not see that....

Because you really couldn't get a much starker contrast than Carney to Trudeau.  You're comparing a spoiled and empty-headed dandy who'd never had a real job in his life, to a big-brain economics PhD who keeps getting sought out and recruited to hold some of the most prestigious positions in his field.

Reality exists beyond what the Conservative spin room is telling you, FYI.

No, he didn't blow it.  Trump scared many voters into voting for Carney and Liberals.

PP did a very good job in the past few years building up the Conservative support and that was reflected in a large increase in the number of seats they won in the election.

But you know as well as I that the voters were stampeded into voting for Carney by the Trump tariffs and 51st stuff.  They missed their chance to obtain real change that PP talked about.

pp was gonna change nothing lol he got a bunch of young men in there 20s  to vote for him   because they think he will gift them a house once they relize they wont be getting one without hard work they will slowly go back to not voting lol.

If they'd invested in Bitcoin when Poilievre talked about it back in the day they actually would have enough money to buy a house. Bitcoin went up tremendously, it's almost double what it was then

The lack of contrast is your opinion, not mine....Time will tell how well Carney will do, but right now he has really done nothing.....big brain economics PHD who wants to spend 130 bil in his first year, and then invest another 500 bil in the next 5 years...invest heavily in green tech and green projects much like the last liberal government which proved one huge waste of money....not to mention his plans to tariff any nation goods that do not have a carbon plan...which includes our largest trading partner....how is any of that a smart big brain phd idea when our nation already has 1.2 trillion in debt.

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

Great.  You should invest life savings in it.  If it doubles again, you'll be able to afford a bicycle!
