It will be interesting to see RFK Jr try to defend this, since he is outspoken about the effects of pollution on human health

Trump officials decimate climate protections and consider axeing key greenhouse gas finding

EPA takes aim at almost every major pollution rule in what environmentalists call act of ‘malice toward the planet’

…The stunning broadside of actions against pollution rules could, if upheld by the courts, reshape Americans’ environment in ways not seen since major legislation was passed in the 1970s to end an era of smoggy skies and burning rivers that became the norm following American industrialization.

Pollutants from power plants, highways and industry cause a range of heart, lung and other health problems, with greenhouse gases among this pollution driving up the global temperature and fueling catastrophic heatwaves, floods, stormsand other impacts.

Zeldin’s EPA is dragging America back to the days before the Clean Air Act, when people were dying from pollution,” said Dominique Browning, director of the Moms Clean Air Force. “This is unacceptable. And shameful. We will oppose with all our hearts to protect our children from this cruel, monstrous action.”

It is not the Republicans...it is Trump and his buddies alone.

What's the old Jewish saying. If there are ten people at a table and one of them is a Nazi. If none of the others says anything there are ten Nazis at the table. Something like that.

From the OP article.

Zeldin wrote that Wednesday was the “most consequential day of deregulation in American history” and that “we are driving a dagger through the heart of climate-change religion and ushering in America’s Golden Age.”

Zeldin boasted about the changes and said his agency’s mission was to “lower the cost of buying a car, heating a home and running a business”.

So it's an Economic Protection Agency...making the world safe for capitalism.

This where the rubber of unleashing hits the road. It'll be up to individual states to protect their environment - Red states vs Green states.

A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

Yeah...they seem to be scared of the Wrath of Trump.

Although, many are speaking publicly and the constituents are talking.

It is not "stickin' it to libbies.". It is "stickin  it to other countries" that is the problem.

Laying off or firing public servants is not "stickin it to the libbies" it is damaging to the American society and public.

Tariffs is not "stickin it to the libbies" it is seriously damagign his own economy and "stickin it to the American public".

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But you are not entitled to your own facts.

This entire thread is premised on pure ignorance.

What is being talked about here is the absurd finding that "greenhouse gasses" not mere pollution, is a threat to human health because of "climate change."

Yet, you guys are ignorantly conflating this with general laws on pollution or the clean air act.

You sit here crying about Trump, when nothing he is doing here will be anything close to what China and India are doing right now to "climate change" with their greenhouse gas emissions.

Actually, AGW is the threat because of greenhouse gases.

I've just erected a greenhouse but there was no gas to put in it. Where can you get it?

Canada can go down in flames to help the Chinese therein,

while America eats Canada's economic lunch,

the threat of tariffs alone is not enough to break Canada,

but when you combine the threat of tariffs, with widespread deregulation,  and tax cuts,

Woke Trans Green Canada is royally screwed

Just go in and lock the door so you can't get out, and soon there will be enough to keep you there.

Just make sure all the windows are closed tight. 💡

You ARE LYING.

From the OP cite:

Quote

In all, the EPA issued 31 announcements within just a few hours that take aim at almost every major environmental rule designed to protect Americans’ clean air and water, as well as a livable climate.

The barrage included a move to overturn a Biden-era plan to slash pollution spewing from coal-fired power plants, which itself was a reduced version of an Obama administration initiative that was struck down by the supreme court.

The EPA will also revisit pollution standards for cars and trucks, which Zeldin said had imposed a “crushing regulatory regime” upon auto companies that are now shifting towards electric vehicles; considering weakening rules limiting sooty air pollution that is linked to an array of health problems; potentially axeing requirements that power plants not befoul waterways or dump their toxic waste; and considering further narrowing how it implements the Clean Water Act in general.

Not lying, I just didn't read that far into the article to find a very general and broad statement when the title and gist was not focused on that.

But OK, so... a biden era plan. That is a plan, so nothing changed there.

Pollution standards for cars and trucks... OK, can you even be bothered to explain what that rollback is?

The left has been piling on regulations to force people into other vehicles and away from combustion engines.

Oh man...you just completely undermined the entire argument for acting to limit AGW.

You deserve a Nobel and millions in cash and prizes. Good job!
