How would Russia be worse off? How many Russians have died in this war that wouldn't have happened if Ukraine had been part of NATO?

Russia couldn't just leave the Donbas to the mercy of Ukrainian troops. That much is clear.

They let NATO break their word dozens of times, NATO kept advancing towards Russia, and Russia had to put an end to NATO aggression.

NATO's advance was in Biden's best interests, and Ukraine paid the price (proxy war, dumbass).

1. Oh really? And how's that been working out for "us"?

2. You've got some strange associates then. Try finding out the actual events leading up to the war. Its always good to be in the know...

3.Defence from what? The dreaded USSR?

1. 80 years of relative peace and prosperity? Hundreds of millions of people who sleep well, knowing that they won't be invaded?

2. You think Marxists are strange? Do you think MAGA is strange?

3. They're called Russia now.

Countries joined NATO because they see Russia as a threat and Ukraine has proven them right. No one forces anyone to join NATO. NATO is a defensive alliance there is no obligation for any NATO country to go to war except if one of them is attacked. That's why there would have been no war if Ukraine was a member. NATO prevents Russian aggression and that's why Putin can't have it.

Donbas War

NATO is an enemy to Russia.

I know, because I was in NATO, and I know what we talked about. I know whose ships and planes we were taught to recognize. I know what kind of planes and missiles we were told would be coming at us. They taught us about our torpedoes vs Russian subs. Etc, etc, etc.

NATO is about RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA! Always has been.

Russia sees NATO as liars and aggressors because of our history of doing the exact same things that liars and aggressors do. Right?

Just listen to yourself, f-tard. "Baker, Kohl et al never signed anything, so we don't have to honour our agreements!"

Who does that? Well, you do, and that goes without saying, but I don't.

We said that we wouldn't move NATO east and now we're all liars. Sure, you're ok with that, but I don't like being lumped in with a greasy skid like you.

NATO should not be going into Ukraine, period. Ukraine should not be courting NATO, period. Ukraine is a very bad neighbour, period. Now Ukrainians are fighting a US/NATO proxy war, and I wouldn't give them the steam off my sh1t. They can go to hell.

NATO is not the enemy of Russia, Russia is the enemy of NATO and western Europe. Except for Sweden and Finland (which has been invaded by the Russians before) all the new members were countries that were under the Soviet boot for 45 years and know Russia well. NATO and the EU has ensured the longest period of peace in European history that only ended when Russia invaded Ukraine, a non NATO member.

NATO is about Russian territorial ambitions. Always has been.

And the Ukraine invasion proved that concern valid.

Russia SIGNED a Ukraine security guarantee and RENEGED, dummy

US keeping OUR PROMISE to Ukraine doesn't make it a "proxy war."

You just look like Putin FOOL every time you say otherwise. LMAO

Too bad about that one proxy war they just started, hey? What a shitty way to ruin your record

Look, I know I'm not getting anywhere with you. You're one of those guys who still believes that you can't get even covid if you got the jab. Well, the jab and a second jab. Or the two jabs plus a booster. Or two boosters. Or you can't end up in hospital? Or is it ICU? Or is it, dead, but somehow not as dead as someone who was unvaxed? And the jabs are safe. Well, aside from myocarditis that never fully heals, and the occasional death or debilitating attack on your own central nervous system which lasts until you opt for MAID. But who's counting? Aristedes always has all the answers: you can't tell that guy shit.

3. And you think Russia has any desire to invade western Europe?

That's not true.

People who lived in both sides of Germany took NBCD training regularly. The fear of war existed on both sides.

The eastern edge of NATO's border was and will always be a geopolitical fault line until everyone is in it, then what?

The more information that comes out, the more my original positions are supported.

Just remember I said this war was going to happen if Biden got elected, and lo and behold, the first European war in generations started. You can't deny it happened now, can you?

Information about America's involvement in the Euromaidan protests and Ukraine's presidential election just keeps getting more and more mainstream.

The push for more and more war from Europe is more and more evident.

Biden's dedication to war instead of peace is on full display now, as evidenced by the stark contrast between Biden's calls to action and Trump's calls to action.

Denying that this is a proxy war just keeps getting harder and harder to do with a straight face.

Except...Starmer won't be lifting a gawd-damn thing. If Europe and/or Canada send "peacekeepers" before a peace deal it struck, they'll be slaughtered.

well you can't send peacekeepers before there's peace obviously. They would be part of a peace agreement i assume.

The first two have nothing to do with this subject. The last... I watched the press conference too, as well as Trumps repeated statements. You are wrong. Factually wrong.

This isn't a contiguous speech, it's excerpts of a much longer speech that have been snipped together so that you don't fall asleep watching the whole thing.

I get that a lot of you may disagree with parts of it, but most of it is indisputable, and it's a pretty good summary of that war thus far.

nobody if they're smart. Shooting at an international peacekeeping force can be pretty dangerous.

I mean we've been here often enough before. The issue isnt' the peacekeeping, it's what happens when the peacekeepers leave.

At the end of the day you need to have a proper agreement and an end to the war that both sides sign off on or it's just going to flair up again later, and while peace keepers can buy time for that process historically the danger is they take away the sense of urgency and crap drags out for ages.

Peacekeepers are a painkilller, they're not medicine. You're not solving the problem, and sometimes it seems like gov'ts forget that.

If their problem was NATO  then they either have to sit down and negotiate with NATO seriously about the issues and come to an agreement or go to war with NATO.

Nothing in that video justifies what they've done to Ukraine.

Sad but true. And when they do think of them They think in terms of optics and what the people today will buy in the next 24 hour news cycle.

You wait. There won't be any framework for an agreement but there will be a cease fire while negotiations happen without a framework which is a recipe for failure. The "peace" will be backed by un peacekeepers, Canada will send 20 guys with binoculars and snacks and Trudeau will claim to have "ended the war"
