I’ll give Trump this: He is reminding everyone to get real about what matters.  The radical woke activists who have infiltrated all major businesses and government institutions in the West, destroying the bedrock values on which prosperity and healthy societies are built, must be completely removed.  On that one single important issue, Canada simply doesn’t get it.   Our policies, even in so called “Conservative” provinces, continue to back the radical woke cultural revolution.  So do our courts.

On that issue alone, apart from our neglect of the military, which is also a significant problem, I’m tempted by 51st state.  Why?  Because I don’t think our current governments are standing up for Canada. Our bloated overbearing government is a reflection of this ideological capture, which is about making decisions for people about how they should think and live, and using taxpayer money to pay for programmed services that people should be paying for and selecting themselves in a free marketplace where individual rights and opinions are protected.

So the problem in Canada isn’t just about depending too much on the U.S. market and not spending enough on military.  It’s that Canada has been ideologically captured by the neoliberal globalists.  We’re run by the UN and the stakeholder capitalists in Davos. Until that ideology is removed, we have to ask ourselves what we mean when we’re standing up for Canadian independence, because in so many ways Canada has capitulated its sovereignty already, and not just to the American market and cheap labour in China. The overbearing activist nanny has priority over defence and rights in Canada.

And in fact case in point when the us suffered horribly and crashed in 08 canada had a very mild recession and recovered before theirs was even over.

We need a conservative Trump and an Elon Musk to get the deep state Canadian house in order. As long as the elite french from socialist Quebec keep running the show in Canada, we will never see our real and full potential. Canada should be one of the most richest countries in the world, but thanks to french socialist Quebec, we have become a woke and broke country with no future to look forward too. Will PP be the man of the hour for Canada to end this woke and broke misery of ours? It looks good for Canada right now if PP were to become the PM of Canada in the next election. We must now all wait and see. I know that Carney will just be another globalist tool for the WEF globalists. 🤔

Yes and no. We definitely need someone willing to go in and shake up the tree and kick over the ant hills and slaughter a few sacred cows. But the methods that trump and muster using would not fly in Canada nor would they be as effective. The public has a different outlook and the political structure is significantly different and more resistant to what they're doing.

The biggest problem is the appetite isn't there yet for full on restructuring. But there's a number of things we could do, if a government were to force free trade amongst the provinces down the provinces throat and build some appropriate energy lines for oil and power and natural gas it would go a very long way to improving our abilities to be self-sufficient. Dismantling a lot of the bureaucracy and returning the power to the provinces would also help a great deal.

You're right. We should be one of the richest countries in the world just like Poilievre says. While we may not be able to get there in one jump we can certainly start down the right path and walk a fair ways
