GOP support for Musk influence with Trump falls dramatically

everyone gets what Musk is doing with DOGE. what people don't understand is that he is a bull in a china shop for a reason... to try and pay for the huge deficit Trump is about to blow to extend his tax cuts for the rich.

Mush said he could cut $2T in spending... then $1T... i bet he can't leverage more than a few hundred million. not unimportant but at great cost and chaos.

a case in point. the recent attempt to get ANY federal workers to quit. its very non-surgical nature is going to be a disaster. every bureaucracy has inefficiencies and its a constant task to identify those and rectify. but it never goes away. will the people who are not productive in the federal service take the "buy out"? no. the people can easily get other jobs the private sector will. the talented people.

That's the key here.  Getting paid 9 months to go find another job is a pretty sweet deal for anyone with the skills/motivation/knowledge to succeed. Those who don't will take their chances.

True, just like how socks always mysteriously disappear in the laundry.

If you think so lowly of Trump, not sure why you are trying to behave more poorly letting his actions control you so much.

It's a long time since I  read Richard Condon's novels, But two come to mind lately: "A Trembling upon Rome" about the piratical "Anti-Pope", and "The Manchurian Candidate", about a plot to install a controlled president who will destroy the U.S. from the inside. Can't decide which one reminds me more of him.

Until the layoffs start, which is what he's talking about now if he doesn't get enough quitters

I didn't think the poll was true. But, apparently some do regret their votes.

Trump’s Approval Rating At 53% In New Poll—But Americans Are Less Sure About Elon Musk

Americans are largely divided on Elon Musk’s work for the Trump administration, according to a new CBS News/YouGov poll, as U.S. voters otherwise mostly backed President Donald Trump in the opening weeks of his administration—even as they wished he would do more to lower prices and expressed concern about tariffs and his plans for the U.S. to control Gaza.

The left is big mad because Americans are running away from them.

Thank you, Senator Moran. It seems not all Republicans are boot-licking simps.

Of course the FARMERS in his state will pay the heavy price for Trump recklessness just like they did for last term's China tariffs. 🤮
