It requires no trust to respond. You're still a garbage human Mike. And when people call you on your games and high school debate tactics you get pissy and moan about trust as if it's their fault.

I have always admired your ability to make friends, and influence others.

You mean like when i drunk post and talk about crapping in other people's mouths or make homosexual passes at them?

Oh no wait.... thats you.  :)

And funny how you're replying to my comment seeing as you have me on ignore :)   which makes you a coward AND a liar ;)

Wow, it sounds like there's another poster on here who tries to to WIN debates and is TOXIC 😦, DUI...

People who discuss with me, on the other hand, can check to see that I LIKE almost every poster's posts from time to time.

Sounds weird but I actually don't hate anyone, see... 🤔

Except the chuds.

Mike nobody's accusing you of hatred per se.  But you are extremely dishonest, 99.89 percent of your posts are exercises in prevarication and equivocation,  I've never seen you start a single thread ever and yet i've seen you criticize people for the threads they start dozens of times.

You absolutely do not 'discuss'  as a rule. Most of your posts are just snide attacks on others posts or vague dissatisfaction with something without offering much in the way of actual opinion and i'm not the only one who's told you this.

That is why people don't respect you or think poorly of you.  You do NOT "discuss" things with people by and large.

Trump is getting annoyed with Musk. He recently told him to "sit somewhere else" and Elon was dejected.  Could this be the beginning of the end for the trump-Musk bromance?

Maybe, but you still have to cite any of this stuff. Even then, given the drama of the last administration, it's going to be hard to separate the wheat from the chaff

I doubt citations are necessary. What I believe we are witnessing, is a mass case of real "cognitive dissonance". A population that wanted desperately to maintain a belief...and trust, if you will...in what is commonly known as "the establishment" and suffer from the conflict brought about by the slow realization that "the establishment" has failed and has resorted to lying, in order to save face. The result...The Culture War. A social conflict that Mike, you profess to hate. And I believe you do hate it.

You've been forced to choose sides, much to your personal distaste. Unfortunately, you could not choose the side that has lost all trust in "the establishment". Thus you sided with the failing side and opposed the "chuds", as you term us.

The good news is, you're level headed enough to not give way to pure hatred...as is the norm for so many on the failing side...thus your internal conflict is not as severe and can be eradicated relatively easy.

Open your eyes Mike. It may not be a pleasant realization but, the unfortunate truth is...

"The establishment" has failed all of us.

Its so lonely in m'saddle since m'horse died.

1. Nobody can force me to select between false choices.  And I won't

2. Chuds are ignorant people of any political stripe.  I personally know more left chuds than right ones.

3. Of course it has, I have never doubted that.  But rejecting all institutions isn't going to help us.

1&2. Oh but you have. I never see you refer to Libbies as "chuds". You side with them because they display that which you covet...belief in "the establishment". Go through your own posts Mike. You'll see this is true.

3. What do you do, when you realize your child is failing math? Well...many parents will blame the math. Or blame the teacher. I've seen this happen many times...so have you I'd expect. We can categorize such folks as "Libbie Chuds". On the other hand, insightful people will realize their child, for whatever reason, is not performing and will take steps to rectify the issue. We can categorize such folks as "Conservative Chuds". Now...I know the categorizations are rather inaccurate, but lets go with it for simplicity's sake. All we "Conservative Chuds" want, is to rectify the issue. Seems rather...level headed...no? And if you find this argument hard to swallow...this next one will choke you... ;)

Which Chud group should we place both Polievre and Trump in? Seems obvious that they fall into the "Conservative Chud" grouping...doesn't it?

Chew on that a bit Mike...and then get back to me.

We're not "bad"...we don't want to outright reject the institutions...we just wanna fix what's obviously broken.

Yes, let's take away social security and kick senior citizens to the street. All in order to give Billionaires more tax breaks.

No, we just need to stop social security, altogether. Pay those who have already paid into it, but stop taking money out of people's checks. They can use that money to pay into their own retirement.

1. 2. Ok, so you don't believe me.  Don't talk to me if you think that I am a liar.  Where do you think anti GMO, anti vax came from?  Granola hippies who oppose science somehow migrated the political spheres.  But they're still that way.  Anti nuclear, anti everything.

3. I define chuds as ignorant people. Period.

4. If you want to use my definition, fine, but you're saying that you are ignorant then. And you want me to use your definition then just post what it is and I'll look at that.

Were that this would work...but unfortunately it won't and here's why.

All matter...right down to the atomic level...is naturally attracted to an "easier" existence. In people, that means they are attracted to the idea of having someone else save money for their retirements. When their paycheque arrives...they splurge and neglect to plop some of it in a retirement savings plan. The results would be a disaster.

However...cutting the "fat" from the SS operations IS a necessary objective.

I'm disappointed. I had thought you...of all people...would have the "wear-with-all" to actually check to see if I might have a point. Meh...OK.

These Granola hippies (cute term BTW) are evenly split between both of my generalized categories IMO. Take for instance, Pixie-Dust's half-brother Kyle Kemper. I'd bet a bottle o' single malt scotch he was a Granola hippie. Yet he sees Justin for what he is...a failure.

I don't really dispute your definition...per se...I dispute your belief in how you use the term.

Look...if this is all too uncomfortable for you...fine...I understand. But of all the...shall we say...anti-conservative (and I mean what conservatism has morphed into) personalities on this board, you and @Queenmandy85 at least exhibit an ability to use your brains for something more than to keep your skulls from caving in. I value that trait, which is why I will often discuss things with both of you as level-headedly as a chud like me is capable of. ;)

The term "chud" is not really what I want to discuss...although perhaps I've inadvertently put too much emphasis on it. What I really want to discuss is the current social ills we are experiencing...the reasons for them...and what can be done to "fix" this mess. "Chuds" be damned. Perhaps it takes a person who is capable of telling our institutions that "NO! You have gone off the rails and no matter how much you kick and scream, I'm determined to "fix" your mess!"

People are going to call you out on your lies whether you like it or not.

You always demand that people that disagree with you or don't believe what you say should not talk to you. But the reality is it is critical for people to call out liars for what they are, more so in this day and age than ever before.

So either learn to tell the truth or get used to it

Its a classic case of real cognitive dissonance. @Michael Hardner has admitted he knows the institutions have failed us.

Makes sense. I have to say I've never even heard of conservatives saying they want to trash all institutions.

I'm doing the audiobook of Enlightenment Now!  I recommend that to all conservatives.

You misunderstanding me is not my cognitive dissonance. It's your misinterpretation

I trust the institutions at heart, and think they all need to be reformed. All of them. That's a far cry from saying, for example, Bush did 9/11.  And yes lots of people on here think that.

This too. I recommend it to everyone.

The crank realignment is bad for everyone

A stupid party + a bunch of biased institutions degrades epistemics across the board

This slow boring thing is insulting and bullsh1t. From your link...

The partisan shifts of both Trump and RFK Jr. are part of a long term cycle in which educated professionals have gravitated toward the Democratic Party coalition and a generic suspicion of institutions and the people who run them has come to be associated with conservative politics.

This sort of garbage is a big reason for the existing "Culture War" that @Michael Hardner dislikes so much. The assumption is that the Conservatives are uneducated and easily lead astray. Nothing could be further from the truth. All you've accomplished with this post, is to further show off your own lack of education and intellect.

Good on ya.

OK...If I've misinterpreted you...please clarify.

I USED TO trust the institutions. Then I realized they are and have been for several years now, full o' sh1t...for the most part. They fully support and advocate for destructive ideas that we all now clearly see.

Okay well I wouldn't go that far.

There's a big space between.... People. Don't trust them, and they must be removed.

I live in that space.

I'm not saying they all must be removed. Sure the redundant and useless should be removed, but more important, most institutions need a well deserved...attitude adjustment.

That's right it does say that. Probably because conservative politicians have gravitated towards things like chemtrail conspiracies, space lasers and believing lefties can guide hurricanes into red states to steal elections.

The right-wing Big-Tent is a Freaker's Ball that no self-respecting person who can rub more than two brain cells together would have anything to do with.

The self-respecting intelligent conservatives who know better, like Rex Tillerson, Liz Cheney or David Frum have all been cancelled by you guys.

David Frum puts it best when he asks ..."what's left of the philosophy formerly known as conservatism beyond ‘fúck you, leftists?"

A freakshow.
