gatomontes99 Posted November 28, 2024 Report Posted November 28, 2024 Let us all take the time to be thankful for our families, our health and our friends and the greatest nation in the history of mankind. 4 Quote The Rules for Liberal tactics: If they can't refute the content, attack the source. If they can't refute the content, attack the poster. If 1 and 2 fail, pretend it never happened. Everyone you disagree with is Hitler. A word is defined by the emotion it elicits and not the actual definition. If they are wrong, blame the opponent. If a liberal policy didn't work, it's a conservatives fault and vice versa. If all else fails, just be angry.

Fluffypants Posted November 28, 2024 Report Posted November 28, 2024 (edited) I have a serious question to the Canadians, what are your Thanksgiving traditions and what do you eat? For us its turkey, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie and pecan pie is fairly standard. Now different regions have different "must haves" but in general that is the base meal. Edited November 28, 2024 by Fluffypants Quote

We have turkey, potatoes, cranberry sauce, bread crumb dressing, pumpkin pie, etc. I love pumpkin pie. I have pumpkin pie on my birthday instead of cake. I think when I was a kid we always had the choice between turkey, duck and goose at the table, because I live in a rural area and people hunt. We had turkey, duck and goose and Christmas, too. Canadians eat the exact same things for Canadian Thanksgiving which is technically a British Harvest Festival, which the British don't even celebrate anymore, held in October Quote

It's cheap and can feed a lot of people. Turkey is great but most people don't brine it which is key to keep it moist. Both smoking and frying are good options too. Quote
