The law gave the doctors no authority to decide they could abort the miscarriage as long was there was a heartbeat.

Texas law has exceptions for the life of the mother it said so in the article. The doctors were just cowards who didn't want to be the first one to do it and are waiting for someone with balls to do it. These doctors cared more about themselves than the mother, if you really want to make a case for abortion you make THAT a national case where a doctor was arrested for saving the life of the mother.

Very sad news, but a preview of what is to come, if Trump is elected.

He's already said he won't enact a national ban on abortion. It would still be up to the states.

That is a lie.  The law allows exceptions for risk to life. It says so right in that story.

In fact, this has nothing to do with abortion.  They didn't even figure out she was pregnant in the first visit and misdiagnoses her condition as 'strep throat',  second time they COULD have taken action but didn't seem to feel there was any need to and sent her home, and the third time they realized she was in trouble but it was too late.

It's got zero to do with an abortion law.  Sorry kiddo.

The law needs to be clear that the doctor's decision is definitive BUT IT'S NOT. Duh

He's NEVER said he would veto the bill if it passes CONGRESS.

In any case, ANYONE who believes what Trump says is a FOOL.

This is tragic political killing from the party of misogyny. Not the first and it won't be the last.

They can't be surprised when women turn out to vote. It's life or death. Self defense.

You can't be surprised when they don't, it's common sense and not believing lies

This had nothing to do with getting an abortion. She was not provided the proper care by doctors. They quickly diagnosed her with strep, ignored her other conditions, and discharged her.

She should never have been sent home the first time.

She had a sepsis infection and it was missed. It was missed again the second hospital they went to.

By the time she got to the 3rd visit, it was already beyond late in giving her the care she needed and then the doctors were incompetent cowards and delayed any surgery to double check tests already done on the baby.

This was incompetence.

Then you folks try to use this to justify killing 900,000 unborn children a year.

Just garbage.

It sounds like its the hospitals fault not the law.

Probably a Democrat physician denying Healthcare outside the law to try and push a wedge issue..

Pretty sick they'd allow a teen girl to die to make a political point.
