This. It's very clearly meant to be simple joke making fun of puerto rico, it's very obvious that it's not a slam against Puerto Ricans or a personal insult. This is no different than when we make fun of Americans or Americans make fun of Canadians or everybody makes fun of France.

Having said that trump's campaign should have been aware that at this point in time literally anything like that is going to be seized upon by the enemy and used against you. Even if it's not that effective it's not winning you any points. So you have to be smarter than that and make sure that it's clear to all the people that are appearing that any joke that could be turned into a racist or geographic or ethnic or cultural joke that would be considered insulting really has to be avoided. No, Puerto Rican and Mexican are nationalities. Hispanic is an ethnicity and even then! White people can be Hispanic. The lines of ethnicity and nationality can get pretty blurred, but neither are a race and can be combined with all the races. Holy crap, what complete ignorance.
