Sure they did. Almost all of the democrats in the senate for example voted for him to be exonerated.

And considering the democrats party then put him up as one of their key speakers it certainly suggests that they approve of his actions and consider him to be a valuable member of the team.

They also put up and voted for his wife who was accused of being complicit in helping cover up the rapes.
