Adding a VP pick isn't supposed to make your job harder, it's supposed to make it easier, and Tim Walz is a PR disaster now. If Kamala dumps him, the MSM can distract the cultists from the undemocratic tire-fire that the Dems' nomination process has been. It's what they do for a living, and the cultists have never noticed. They can just switch the focus to "THE DEI DYNAMIC DUO!" and the cultists will instantly make that their campaign slogan.

They don't have to but it would be a severe blow to change now.  Flip flopping is NOT a good look for a presidential candidate and she'd be better off with a lame duck with some stolen valor issues than looking indecisive and flakey.  She'll stick with her pick.  They didn't have proper time to vet him, they wouldn't with a replacement either
