Wall charts and people who rely on them should not be anywhere near the PM office or any place of importance really............what we need is "someone" that has above average leadership ability, above average decision making skills, a person that can unite the country under one flag, that puts the interest of the country first, and not some lobby group someone not afraid to make the right choices, and not afraid to crush skulls to do so...and a shit tonne of common sense would be nice....no where does having a penis or vagina become a qualifying factor. 

In today's world where anyone can identify as a fire truck, or cat, or a one legged gay bi sexual pirate who has a pet ape for a boyfriend are we really worried about how a judge identified one women...should we be shocked at this point....not really...

When it comes to rights the Supreme Court has to consider the rights of everyone, not just the majority.  When rights conflict they usually tend to side with minority or marginalized groups which is not a bad thing in my opinion. Societies are judged by how their minorities and marginalized groups are treated.

Minorities are treated much better in Canada than many other advanced or industrial countries.  The Supreme Court must protect the right of everyone not just the minorities. Women are treated relatively well in Canada though there is room for improvements.

I apologize for my earlier outburst. I didn't know you were quoting someone (if you were, still not sure). I thought it was your own comment. I am very sensitive to women's rights and issues I may have overreacted.

Unfortunately I suspect that would make matters even worse. We already have a socialist government whose focus on, equity, compassion, diversity and reconciliation created the current mess. These female characteristics are essential to a family environment, but disastrous when applied to society at  large. In humans long history there is not a single example of a successful matriarchy and those that have managed to survive all stagnated at a stone age level. I suspect that history will record the the decline of western civilization began with women getting the vote.
