Spate of Mock News Sites With Russian Ties Pop Up in U.S

Into the depleted field of journalism in America, a handful of websites have appeared in recent weeks with names suggesting a focus on news close to home: D.C. Weekly, the New York News Daily, the Chicago Chronicle and a newer sister publication, the Miami Chronicle.

In fact, they are not local news organizations at all. They are Russian creations, researchers and government officials say, meant to mimic actual news organizations to push Kremlin propaganda by interspersing it among an at-times odd mix of stories about crime, politics and culture.

While Russia has long sought ways to influence public discourse in the United States, the fake news organizations — at least five, so far — represent a technological leap in its efforts to find new platforms to dupe unsuspecting American readers. The sites, the researchers and officials said, could well be the foundations of an online network primed to surface disinformation ahead of the American presidential election in November.

The Miami Chronicle’s website first appeared on Feb. 26. Its tagline falsely claims to have delivered “the Florida News since 1937." 

Betcha Trump won't call THEM "fake news," even though they TRULY ARE PROPAGANDA.

I literally cannot find any of these websites on the internet. I don't know how good the propaganda will be if you can't find them.

The "conservative" crowd here will be citing them withing the month, while continuing to throw shade at actual news organizations. For them, Google isn't a way to find information, but a way to confirm their biases by finding other kooks.

That's because Google does its best to de-prioritize fraud and phony sites that lack a user footprint. Try Duck Duck Go. Your friends will be sending it to you soon enough. Or you can start the trend!

Let me break down how this will work.

1.  They will set up these phony sites.

2. They will use their Facebook (and other) disinformation networks to spread propaganda to the same suckers they targeted in the last 2 elections.

3. Those targeted suckers will click the links and read the phony articles because they are utterly incapable of vetting and filtering information. If it's on the internet (and confirms their biases) it must be true!

4. The useful zombies will share and promote the phony stories within their social networks packed with similarly inept people.

5. More people will click through until the user base will register enough clicks to make early results on a Google search

All need be done is for the MAGA CULT to start spreading stories on these cites.

Found the new York News yet?  Today its claiming another woman of Trumps past in Russia is coming forward to testify.  Doesn't say about what though.
