I listened with interest to the whole thing. That doesn't mean I believe the pure truth was revealed, these are superpowers after all.

Still, Putin's description of the history of events leading up to the war echoed exactly what I've been saying here for over a year now, even including the part about EU trade negotiations and the US cash injection $5B dollars to create political unrest.

Putin even mentioned that Yanokovych's decision to decline on the EU trade deal was not permanent and there may be a time in the future when they would be ready to accept.
