eyeball Posted February 3, 2024 Report Posted February 3, 2024 (edited) America saw fit to bomb some 85 Iranian targets without hitting a single one in Iran. Like the thread title says...not out of fear of a wider conflict but the fear of a focused one. Lots of high fives around the Axis of Tyranny today. The purpose is to remove the capability of attacking US from Iran's PROXIES. Do you know how many US servicemen were killed and injured as reprisals against the US for assassinating Qasem Soleimani? There IS courage in RESTRAINT and DIPLOMACY. 1 Quote

If the proxy's existing weapons are obliterated, it will take a lot of time for them to be resupplied. Esp if the shipments are interdicted. 1 minute ago, eyeball said: An effort that seems as increasingly desperate as it is ineffective. Iran is not attacking US directly for good reason. They really don't want the retaliation which would ensue. 1 minute ago, eyeball said: I suppose it doesn't help that Iran is just another proxy in the scheme of things. They are not. They have the weapons FACTORIES, which if destroyed, greatly lengthens the time needed to re-supply the proxies. Quote

Sorry, but someone breaking into your house and demanding money isn't the time to talk and diplomacy if you have the weapons to counter their aggression. Biden was criticized for his initial response, as it was overly cautious, and presented the US as very weak. Which is precisely why the attacks were increased. Attacking Iran directly shouldn't be on the table unless Iran engaged the US directly, but the US should use the full weight of its available firepower to fully disable the proxies. There should be zero expense spared. They were warned, so there should be brutal consequences. People who think in tyrannical means, only respect consequences. They vowed a response. If they kill dozens of US servicemen, at a certain point, restraint no longer applies. You bomb the living s*** out of the proxies, and only looking to avoid collateral damage on innocent civilians. Moonlight Graham Posted February 3, 2024 Report Posted February 3, 2024 Any different than Iran attacking their enemies like the US and Israel through funding and arming proxy groups? Quote "All generalizations are false, including this one." - Mark Twain Partisanship is a disease of the intellect.
