Rebound Posted February 2, 2024 Report Posted February 2, 2024 New York Judge Arthur Engoron just issued a statement that the verdict in the $370 million Trump civil fraud trial is on hold until mid-February. The news comes days after the financial monitor appointed to oversee the Trump organization’s finances issued a report finding additional instances of fraud, particularly a phantom $50 million dollar loan made from a company owned by Trump to Trump personally. The purpose of the $50 million loan was to avoid paying taxes, but since the loan did not occur and was barely documented, red flags are ablaze. This instance of fraud occurred AFTER Donald Trump agreed to the appointment and selection of the monitor. IOW, he had been caught with his hands in the cookie jar, knew there was a cookie jar monitor… yet he still kept putting his hands in the cookie jar. This new revelation will undoubtedly increase the size of the $370 million verdict and will very likely also result in a referral for IRS and New York State prosecution for tax evasion. After all, it’s “only” $50 million… https://thehill.com/regulation/court-battles/4443327-trump-ny-fraud-verdict-now-expected-by-mid-february-court/amp/ https://www.salon.com/2024/02/01/further-evidence-of-fraud-legal-analyst-says-monitors-revelation-may-doom-trumps-company/ 1 Quote @reason10: “Hitler had very little to do with the Holocaust.”

Trump is about to be hit with a judgement of over half a billion dollars, and a federal judge just found another $50 million in fraud. Tell us what the IRS does to people who cheat the government out of paying taxes on $50 million? Quote @reason10: “Hitler had very little to do with the Holocaust.”

If you agree that Hunter Biden should be prosecuted if it’s discovered that he failed to report income to the IRS, then you agree that Trump should be prosecuted for concealing $50 million in income by creating a fake loan which never occurred, correct? Depends on the details but reporting your taxes is a statutory requirement, i 'm not really aware of a statutory requirement of a similar nature that would apply here. It's a little like saying "if person "B" should be investigated for murder, then person "A" should be investigated for Jaywalking. I guess you could argue that all criminal or civil contraventions should be looked into and there's some truth to that but suggesting it's the same thing would be a little far fetched.
