I tried to google a list of female singers who married their record producers but it won't come up on Google. There are lists of singers who married stars, athletes, you name it, just not producers... Hmmmm.

Taylor Swift is the daughter of a record executive so she knew the game well before entering. A lot of what she is doing akin to professional athletes having free agency and negotiating their own contracts. We lament the good old days but the musicians frequently were getting screwed.. hence why put out so many albums. There are so many layers to the swift puzzle.. things that artists in the past simply did not have access to or did not do. 

As for Shania Twain.. she did write some of the lyrics but not all. Her husband, Mutt Lange, co-wrote some of them.

I don't do karaoke, but I always joke that if I did I'd do Bob Dylan's songs, or Neil Young's, so that I don't sound so bad compared to the original. The last thing I'd try is Unchained Melody or a Whitney Houston song lol. But I could do Drake songs no problem. Well, I guess there's one problem: even if you do it perfectly you still sound like an id10t.

If I was a record producer and Drake came and pimped his songs to me I'd tell him to grab a mop or something if he wanted to make some real money. Needless to say, I wouldn't do well these days 🤣
