We’re seeing yet another Mideast war break out. I remember when the Arabs jacked up gas prices back in the 70’s. It’s time to deploy lots and lots of alternative energy and they can go back to riding their f-ing camels in the sand. And when the Arabs jack up oil prices, the Canadian and American oil companies jack their prices up right along with them. So F them all.  Wind, solar, geothermal can replace 75% or 80% of it.

India is one of the worst polluters.

On what grid is this possible?

The Philippines is a growing economy, as is Indonesia. You're still dealing with antiquated electrical grids.

Most can barely afford public transit, let alone a car.

Your pitch doesn't factor in the realities.

I am not denying there is climate change. What am saying, is telling us how urgent it is, won't make any if us able to afford the rectifying technologies overnight.

Unless a plan involved the funding of poorer countries who can't afford to reduce emissions I don't understand how this isn't fear mongering, for the sake of fear and votes than actually doing anything about it.

Much of Southeast Asia, including India, has rapidly transitioned to electric motorbikes and scooters, which are the dominant form of vehicle transportation, for many reasons (cheaper, easier to drive through congested streets, shorter average trip lengths, more temperate climate). This transition has already reduced petroleum consumption dramatically in many of these nations. These regions are especially good regions for solar and wind power generation as well. However, simply transitioning transportation from gasoline to electric reduces carbon output and cleans the air..

Poor countries citizens don't use nearly as much fossil fuels as the US, China and India.

where i live its warmer every year. how much longer do those who don't believe anything is happening... that some grand conspiracy is happening where tens of thousands of scientists, universities, private research firms etc. etc.

just think about it. where you live its getting warmer every year. how many years do you plan to be alive? if its getting 2 degrees hotter every summer and you're planning to be around for another 20 years... you'll be cooking. it doesn't just stop getting hotter on its own.

“Climate” is not “the weather.”
Climate “change” can mean severe temperature swings in both directions and more severe storms, which we have clearly witnessed.  
 

Simple: Go to the NASA link, click on the tabs and look at the data for yourself.  NASA wants to go to Mars.  They don’t want to build new power plant infrastructure; that doesn’t get them rockets. But they’re the ones with the satellites that can make all of these measurements and they publish the data, which are abundantly clear. 
 

Either look at the NASA page, or admit that you’re dumb as a piece of toast and you spend your life with your head in the sand.
