Nobody is 'justifying oppression' against Palestinians based on whatever happened generations ago. Oppression is justified BASED ON THEIR OWN ACTIONS! And what even is 'oppression' when you look around that region? Are they more oppressed than Syrians, Iraqis, Iranians, Libyans, Egyptians, or Moroccans? 

Before the intifadas began, 42% of Palestinians had jobs inside Israel. There were far fewer checkpoints, fences, and walls. The standard of living in the territories was higher than in any Arab nation other than the oil nations.

Then came the intifadas and relentless terrorist attacks on Israeli civilians. As this continued, the checkpoints multiplied, the fences grew, and then became walls.

The cruelty and brutality inflicted on Israeli civilians by Muslims is what has sparked the Israeli responses. Not from 80 years ago, but from recently. Your attempt to hand-wave this away with "Muh muh, Jews bad in '48" reeks.

Frankly, given their behaviour, I'm surprised the Israelis haven't just physically driven the whole bunch of them out.
