If Trump debates him, he would get skewered, and a star would be born. I don't think Trump would dare do so, as his foe is equally quick on his feet, but far more knowledgeable, oozing with charisma, and incredibly articulate.

"Charge him with 1000 years" won't put him in prison. Only CONVICTION by the JURY will do that.

That's true but Trump will use lawyers to delay and obfuscate the legal process as much as possible. He may not be convicted by the time the election comes around.

If Trump keeps texting attacks in the Justice system and calling the prosecutors crazy and insulting the judges, he could get thrown in jail before the trial even starts.  
 

I think that any other defendant would have been jailed for witness intimidation by now and he may see a prison cell for that alone.

No. Trump has repeatedly attacked the prosecutors and judges. He even posted photos of a judge’s daughter, warned of “death and destruction” if arraigned, and the day after being charged, posted, “IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I'M COMING AFTER YOU."

Judges and prosecutors in his cases have been receiving death threats.  These judges are simply assigned the cases. Threatening judges with murder is a serious felony which can carry a long jail sentence.

He also intimidated a witness, savagely insulting him and stating that he “should not testify.” This alone should put him behind bars and I won’t be surprised if he is jailed for it. It’s a felony that carry’s a mandatory 2-year sentence, because he’s already out on bail.
