We have allowed dual citizenship forever. It has created many issues with individuals as well as groups (Hong Kong dual citizens and the house price upsurge).

In my mind, dual citizenship should not be available nor tolerated. You are either Canadian or not.

300,000 fake Canadians in Hong Kong, that we have to save if china moves in. And this practice of women flying in just to have their kid born Canadian must stop.

As I said, dual citizenship should be abolished.

an expensive European city

That's right. There are many, many less expensive and still great cities in Europe. Take a note how grocery prices are much higher, even for locally grown ones. Why? Because the inflation is great! we can ding them more on that pretext and they'll love it.

A factual example today: on the way stopped at Service Ontario to check something about the license. Took a ticket, number 47. Calling 95.. what, wait so they have to roll it over a hundred and begin again. That would be hours, pretty f@cked up, no? Is this a "service" really, in what world? Why should I pay for the thing that does nothing for me? Why the society needs those outrageously expensive "services" that don't work for it? Because: everything is a monopoly. If you have cheap flour, milk and oil and hundreds of independent bakeries, you'll have great, fresh, great tasting and cheap bread. And if you have three supermarket chains owned by the same multigazzillion CEO you'll have "bread product" at outrageous price. Same with politics. Monopolistic facade vs. real, quality thing in the real world. No, can't have both no way.

On a retired MP pension (for zombie-pushing the button) but of course who would be complaining (can't buy the weather but hey it's enough for annual patriotic vacation). And we even can have free Fireworks by our most generous government!

It may not be by intent, only a by-product of the life cycle. Gobble at the trough till you absolutely can't then sit back, belch and try to squeeze a bit more.

Here's something to think about (when you hear about "equality" south of the border):

-GDP per capita in Alberta is 2x what it is in PEI. (IOW, according to StatsCan, people in Edmonton -on average- produce twice as much stuff as people in Charlottetown.)

IMHO, we have a good country - une société civilsée.

Why does anything you wrote make Canada a good country?

The natural beauty where you can hike and ski, get away from people when you need to. We live in a nation where wild life remains wild. I just got home from the lake, having had hours of entertainment from my friend and neighbour, Joe Squirrel. I was visited by chipmunks, a young river otter, bald eagles, a pair of falcons, deer, a woodchuck, a grouse and a variety of ducks. On my way home to Saskatoon, three grizzly bears crossed the highway infront of me in the East Kootenays.

We have the blessing of a cultural blend of dozens of ethnicities. Also, this is a nation where we have a history of being able to participate in the political discourse without rancour. We have Peace, Order and Good Government regardless of the people in power. We are truly blessed.

Great. Russia and China have all that too. New Zealand, Switzerland you name it. Next.

Fixed for you, the current reality. Eyes, and senses in general, they evolved for some purpose in the evolution.

Could it be because the "discourse" was limited to an absolute minimum theoretically possible, to loud snoring of the happy populace? Like talking in an echo chamber to great rounds of applause (wait, we saw that somewhere)

it's 90% mosquito infested wasteland,  frozen for half the year

the governance is utterly dysfunctional and increasingly totalitarian

like being imprisoned in North Dakota,  run by the Chinese Communists

hence why any Canadian who makes it rich

immediately moves to Malibu, next door to Wayne Gretzky

I would also argue that America is better for getting out into nature

from Big Sur, across the Mojave, to the Grand Canyon

that is full of wonder

I've spent half my life in the Canadian bush, and it's all the same :  boreal forest ; mosquito hell

Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage
To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea
Tracing one warm line through a land so wild and savage
And make a Northwest Passage to the sea

Westward from the Davis Strait 'tis there 'twas said to lie
The sea route to the Orient for which so many died
Seeking gold and glory, leaving weathered, broken bones
And a long-forgotten lonely cairn of stones

A colonial, resource dominion of a foreign power that struggled to find a purpose, place in the world and identity and failing, over and again. Quite easy to see why too: in spite of claims and chanting of hymns it has no real zeal for freedom and advancement. Don't touch me things are working somehow since the times of Adam and we don't need anything more here. Backwater, colonial mindset, sleepy already. Good night.

we are not foreign

this is British North America

there is nothing here but that which we built

it is only the resources which we conquered

that makes our hearths & homes on the edge of this savage wilderness

a wife & family, a dream home on a dream property

serving Regiment, Colours & Commander-in-Chief

live the adventure, and sing about it as you go

So that gives Trudeau the right to destroy this nation with his post natural state policies?
