That's not how this works.  The research is needed to provide solutions within the next 30-50 years.  If we continue as we are for the next 100 years, it won't matter what we come up with in 200 years, because by then we'll be in goblin-town.

Goblin-town?

The sad fact is, what these Greenies are foisting upon humanity, is fear and destitution.

Windmills and mirrors are not going to power our societies. We need to do much more research to find a realistic solution. One that's viable and reliable...BEFORE we actively discontinue the use of fossil fuels.

Just another piece of sound advise from one who is not trapped by the raptures of doom.

Unfortunately, this COP15 cult conference will be just another brainwashing session supported by the Liberal-NDP government to brainwash more people into the radical agenda they have of opposing Canadians and the world using the earth to live on.  The thing that makes it even worse is Canadians will be paying millions of dollars or tens of millions to pay for this gathering of radical environmental cultists.

When the governments of the world gather in something like this sponsored by the U.N. and governments who are member states, many people automatically believe whatever they say.  This is how climate change alarmism works and became such a big deal.  It was constant propaganda by the U.N., and their obedient liberal left governments led by people like Trudeau.  Who in his cabinet would even think of questioning his carbon tax agenda or net zero goals when they were appointed to the cabinet by Trudeau himself?  The result is they are continually brainwashed with the line that man is to blame for the changing climate and must be made to pay.  Nobody has ever actually seen any evidence that would support this assumption.  The whole thing is just a cultish dogma.

These COP cult conferences are like a snowball rolling down a long hill.  It just keeps getting bigger and bigger and picks up more naive followers along the way.  We should not forget there will be many Marxist-leaning, environmentally radical professors and claimed experts present to help spur and motivate these followers and government representatives along.  After all they believe they are out to save the world from mankind.

A rolling snowball is a good simile of how brainwashing and propaganda is spread by these conferences and governments.

What do you Brownies think it is you're foisting on humanity when you talk about the destruction of the economy?

Hey, on that, you and I can actually agree!  I'd much rather have seen the billions we wasted in Ontario on solar panels for farmers with guaranteed rates multiples above market for negligible amounts of power would have been spent on research and promoting viable tech.  Alas, we did not, and that's one of the primary reasons why Doug Ford is the Premier and the Liberals only have 8 seats out of a 124 seat legislature.

You're certainly not talking about yourself here, are you?  From the way you call it, we're moments away from nuclear holocaust over Ukraine.

The exact same thing we've provided you with IOW. The difference however remains the fact that the environment comes first.  You can have an environment without a human economy anywhere in sight but you can't have it the other way around.

Sure...NATO could do something stupid and we could all die. There would still be an environment.

eyeball why would you head down this silly rabbit hole?

You think "we all gonna die"...bon.

Do you realize, if we think on more than just one level, that we might just be able to maintain ourselves on what we HAVE NOW, while we search for something to replace it with, build the infrastructure capable of handling the entire load on its own, and do a massive cut-over...and nobody has to suffer because of it?

Has that ever occurred to you?

We're all gonna die sometime, it's how we're going to live in the meantime that we're warning you guys about.  It's not going to be the la la Land of Cornucopia you imagine it would be if we could just drill baby drill and burn baby burn without a care in the world for the consequences.

Yeah, about 50 effing years ago.  You must have had your fingers in your ears screaming la la la or something.

Oh horseshit. As I have said, over and over again, we can find a way to replace fossil fuels without imposing suffering on the population. But you revolutionaries are driving us to the worst possible outcome.

You have it bass ackwards as usual.  We've put taking action off for so long now that taking it without imposing suffering is unavoidable.

No, we're pointing out the fact we've arrived.

Wonder how many private jets will be arriving to the hypocrite conference.

What point are you trying to make with this irrelevant overused denier sound byte? That they should attend world conferences by sailing ships and donkeys? That you if you have environmental concerns you shouldn't own a car, a fridge, a computer?
If your bicycle gets a flat tire do you chuck it off the bridge into the river? Or do you FIX IT? Did you chuck it in the river because others told you only stoopid people fix things? Then you'd be dumber than they were.

So stop telling people trying to fix things that they're the fools.

Oh. You've arrived, have you?

Well, LOOSE THE PIGEONS! Now take a number and wait your turn, like everyone else.

Do you figure your arrival gives you the right to impose suffering on the population? Shall we all bow down to your power, while your great arrival heralds in panic, fear and unnecessary pain?

Gee...sounds like the raising of the Devil himself.

Listen...oh though of grand arrivals...we've tackled holes in the ozone, smog, litter, and a whole host of other "nasties" over our history and we did it with ingenuity and cooperation. Not panic, fear and pain.

So...thanks for arriving...but we can handle this in a rational manner. So I suppose you can depart now and take your rather evil results with you.

Now someone collect those pigeons. They're shitting all over our newly arrived celebrity.

The multitude of hypocrite conferences have to date fixed nothing. As far as the overused sound bite is concerned, it's not used enough.

Yes you certainly did and you're doing it right now.  Look at the fuss you put up simply acknowledging the ingredients of our economy come from the environment and not the other way around.

This is called kicking and screaming along with pig-headed stubbornness and it's been going on for decades.

This is silly. MAN couldn't exist without the planet. That doesn't mean the planet is the source of all our economic functions.

The planet is the source of all the economy's physical inputs - air, soil, water etc etc etc.

Economic functions don't make these.

Yup, it's how you guys bring the 'art' of filibustering to the issue.  Nothing underscores your sincerity to environmental concern better.
