RedDog
My father, as a young boy in Texas, asked his Norwegian born immigrant father why they didn’t speak Norwegian like the Peterson’s down the road spoke Swedish. The reply and life lesson was because they didn’t live in Norway. Those who refuse to assimilate should go home. Cancel Culture seems all fine but only when it’s mine. Most of the world is multi-lingual; there's nothing wrong with that and has nothing to do with 'assimilation'. Even people in "shithole" countries can speak multiple languages, usually including English. Your father gave you the wrong life lesson. I doubt they invented that thing I think they put it on their heads because they see the Mullet Mullah of El Paso wearing one or something. I do want to show respect for strange foreign cultures though, including those who pronounce Canada CanaDUH

How Canadian tourism sustains Cuba's army and one-party state (msn.com) I suspect many of these people are embedded within the Liberal and NDP parties and their supporters. quote Cuban-Canadian activists say many Canadians are not aware of the extent to which the survival of Cuba's one-party regime depends upon the foreign currency tourists bring into the country, or the lengths the Cuban government will go to keep Canadians coming. Unquote What is equally surprising on the MSN comment section under this article is the number of commenters who support the Cuban regime and oppose America. Makes one wonder where these commenters came from and where their loyalties lay. Yes Canadians are definitely encouraging the totalitarian system of Cuba by traveling. With that said most Canadians are socialists to start with.

It breaks fundamental rights in a number of areas. It denies the right to private property if the state decides to take it away. It can also remove basic rights if it decides that is in the Socialist interest. There are other areas that can threaten the people in a Socialist system if the state decides to do so. Nothing the individual has in terms of rights, well-being, property, or even human life is sacred under Socialism.
