God created evil for his pleasure. Do you recognize the pleasure of creating and doing evil?

You have lied about Chrisitians and what Chrisitians believe, plus you have lied about God Almighty ---by twisting God's purpose and Will into some miserable little deranged fantasy you concocted in life.  Therefore, no, you did not have grounds to call anyone a liar here ---where you are an expert liar!

Cheers!

Show the lie so that I might defend myself.

I gave our frien the lie, and the truth to help him along, and an opportunity to make his case.

You gave nothing and thus I see your post as a lie from a coward who cannot make his case.

"where you are an expert liar!"

For here, let me accept that as a compliment, and point out, --- that as an expert, --- I can spot neophyte liars like you quite easily.

Make your case or be seen as a rookie liar who lacks the expertise you say I have.

Show the lie...

Too many to show here, but... For starters... Oh yes you lied, grossly, upon scriptures in Rev 4:11 yep when you tried to explain the message it intended to give Mankind.

You also lied about when God first used Satan in Eden to tempt Eve in terms of any chastisement she needed. Then you lied about exactly, "What", she had done that was evil before being tempted.

You lied about "if A & E had not eaten of the tree, they would have remained with their moral eyes closed and too stupid to reproduce." Plus you twisted reality and used your evil to annihilate the factual truth, about if Adam sinned, it was a happy fault and necessary to god's plan.

I was first to post in here only as a, symbolic gesture, for how the OP is one big harlequinade where you seek not to understand God, but to undermine God.

The title of this thread is even disingenuous:

which parent on this website, in first establishing a punishment policy for when your offsprings break the rules ---did first establish that policy for your own pleasure?

I bet the answer is "None" nada nil nunca nobody!  lol

Why?

Because humans are made in God's image so we have children for our, pleasure, but humans punish children only for our hope that the punishment enhances the children's growth maturity ethics morals and their seeking Righteousness, in life. It is called God's Will. And it is exactly why...

I love you, brother!!

Religion is the same belief, with the exception that there existed in the nothing a magical being, who, after a while of not having a universe, decided it wanted one.  And now, after creating it, and all that entails, it worries about whether or not some unimaginably small part of it is going to church on Sunday.

A good question that needs answering is just where did this being come from? Who created this being?

I agree that all should read the bible.

The more that do, the fewer Christians there will be.

The early church knew that and that is why they murdered so many for reading it or just having it.

Be proud of your murdering heritage.

I cannot see as to how anyone can make heads or tails from what they have read in the bible. It's all pretty much confusing to me. The Noah's Ark story is really unbelievable. The job handed to Noah by some God like being had to be one hell of a make work project for him to have to try and complete. And trying to keep all those predators away from the prey had to be quite the task. And imagine the food that had to be collected for all those animals and birds. He must of maxed out on all his credit cards, eh? Lol.

Whoever you want to have done so, I guess.  Those who believe it exists can either come up with their own ideas, or believe those of other people just like them, who also want to believe.

You ignore that physics says there was something there. You continue to believe your own lie.

You have done just that by inserting a supernatural fiction.

Matric thinking is Gnostic Christian ideas. When you add in our fractal thinking on the supernatural, you end with gods above gods to infinity. Your god could be a matrix creation with many god above him. He would not know, just as you don't. Best to not waste your time on finding the unknowable god.

You do know that your bible says that god is unknowable, so why are you not believing it?

Correct, so why are you believing a myth?

??

You already know, but have yet to learn to accept the truth.

What have you been doing all of your life, and hopefully will continue to do, but in a more intelligent way?

You know the answer. Say it.

You appear to be short on and lack any reality. Have you ever tried to produce something yourself from nothing? You need to think about that for awhile. If there were some being that started up all of this that we see and live in today one then has to ask themselves the question as to where did that god like being come from? The whole dam thing makes no common sense and logic at all. It's like trying to concentrate on just how far one must go to get to the end of the universe. And when one is able to get to the end of the universe, what is on the other side of the universe? Some other god like being who has created another universe, and on and on. I am not kidding when I say that I have tried very hard to concentrate on this and I can actually feel my brain ready to explode. Maybe that is why I am not here all the time. Lol

The bible is a mass of confusion and most things written in it makes no sense at all.  A pile of gibberish. Why are you believing in a myth yourself? You nor I cannot produce any proof of what or who may have created this world. You can only guess just like me.

What is the truth anyway? What have I not learned yet to accept the truth?

What I have been trying to do all my wicked life was trying to survive, especially trying to survive against all the dummies out there. The odds have been truly staggering and against me. It's just not fair. Lol. Anyway, an intelligent person questions more. That is why I consider myself to be intelligent. :D

I never said that I know the answer to anything and everything and neither do you. No one alive today or in the past knew/knows what life is all about. Besides, I do not have a direct line to the god like being out there. But if I ever do get to communicate with some god like being you will be the first to know. Hows that? Works for you? ;)

I agree. Let whoever wants to believe in something let them believe in it. I have no problem with it. But when someone tries to tell me that something is there that is not there right in front of me then I shall question that person. To believe what others have to say willy-nilly where they have no proof of what they are talking about or believe in well go away from me. I want some beef, chief! The only thing that I will ever believe in is what I see right in front of me. So far, that has worked well for me all my life. ;)

There should be a law against atheists making bizarre, whimsical claims.  lol

Your claim I quoted is simply not based in logic since

  • You have no answers for what created man, and woman, plus the two (2) perfectly-fitting, procreating, organs placed at center of each gender's core, known as genitalia.
  • You have no answers for the brilliance of the human mind, exclusively, above all other organisms on this planet.
  • You have no proofs of the, just by chance, that this planet called Earth has stayed on this same perfectly rotating axis and course around the sun for about 6,000 years, at least, as even veering so much as a few miles off of this same 6,000 year old course ---will cause every oxygen-breathing organism to perish immediately.
  • You have no answers for how those stars got there, we see in our telescopes, when we remind ourselves that Mankind will never make a machine which can take us that far ---although some force, already hung out over there in order for those stars to get there.

Religious persuasion hath made no bizarre whimsical claims, ever, just as long as

I don't think you'd recognize a real rebuttal - decent or not -  even if it's plastered to your forehead.

You think giving wise-cracks (like what you usually give here)....... is  "rebuttal!"  I think you watch too many stand-up comics! :)

No it is not.

To choose wisely, one must have some idea of what they are choosing. Right?

A & E could not know if they were doing good or evil when they had yet to have or gain any knowledge of what was good or evil. For all they could know, the serpent was good and god was evil. Right?

They may not know the meaning of the terms "good" and "evil"......................but surely they instinctively knew they should obey  what God had told them NO TO DO!  God even told them the consequence of doing what He told them not to do.

They instinctively knew they should do as  God had instructed (an instinct to what is right)...................... otherwise, why did it have to take the serpent to tempt and trick Eve into disobedience?  They were doing pretty well staying away from that tree (as God had instructed), until the devil came along.

Genesis 2

16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

Adam and Eve had the free will to do what God had instructed, or not.  Obey, or disobey.

You obviously don't understand the Scriptures. What more can I say?

I have to admit it's easy when you know you're not going to get one.

But life doesn't have to be hard all the time, surely?

I agreed with the term you think you were incorrect in using?

I sure hope it was 'strawman Jesus'.  Yes, there are so many fake prophets about, led by these guys' rhinestone Jesuses:
https://www.beliefnet.com/faiths/christianity/8-richest-pastors-in-america.aspx

Quote

Kenneth Copeland, [worth $760M] who leads the "Believer’s Voice of Victory," TV show and network, is a giant within the Word of Faith branch of Pentecostalism. Kenneth Copeland Ministries operates on a 1,500-acre campus near Fort Worth, TX, equipped with a church, a private airstrip, and a hangar for the ministry’s $17.5 million jet and other aircraft. Copeland resides with his wife Gloria in a $6 million church-owned lakefront mansion. Copeland, who is of partial Native American descent, converted to Christianity in the 1960s.

Since discussion of religion comes up so infrequently, in a broad public exchange, it's a good idea to elaborate on what is out there,  ie. this thread.

This broader context is what we should be talking about.  Instead, describing a deity as needing 'pleasure' is such a bizarre diversion that, to me, it defies people to reject religion outright ... and they should at least call the bluff.  This is why people condemn Christianity today.  It's either pushing the cruelest parts of the status quo or engaging in meaningless or irrelevant asides.  True Christianity is, IMO, difficult but not impossible to extract from all the ornaments and manipulations of these dudes, and everyone before them who exploited Jesus' teachings for their own benefit.  You can see it in there if you look hard enough: empathy, forgiveness, acceptance, charity... all of the things that these prophets try to stomp out.

But - sure - let's talk about distractions like "What does God's voice sound like ?" and "What kind of car would he drive ?".  The spiritual sickness that religion is trying to distract from is too difficult to take anyway.

You say I lied, but you bolded a lie of loving me in your next post.

Put up or shut up is what this quote is asking of you.

Proverbs 3:12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

You keep saying what god wants, which is a bald faced lie, unless you can show how you accessed the supernatural realm and got the information from the genocidal prick you idol worship.

You can just take points for calling me, or you can prove your are not the liar here by doing what the bible and your god bids you do, and correct me lovingly.
